Haven't tried that approach Yuki, I wonder how that would go. I've got 1 playthrough left, join the Legion, dare I do it?

At early levels, fighting enemies in New Vegas consisted of me tucking myself into a corner with my pistol held in front of me and praying to God that the convicts wouldn't find me.

And then randomly unloading on them when they popped around the corner at me with a tire iron.

It was actually a lot of fun.

Rogue and Hunting? Interesting. I've been running an assassin, and I'm thinking I might build a Templar next...

Is that a ranged build, or a spear-based build?

Thinking of getting either CoD: Black ops or BF: Bad Company 2

Anyone got any input or both games?

Bad Company 2 is not worth it. Been trying it for a while, but I got bored quickly. In the end, I just enjoyed playing sniper and if I ever get to that point, I stop playing the game.

Alright, so to finish Fable 3 the good way, ultimate levels of goodness, you need to accumulate around 9,000,000 gold, to keep all the people safe (6,500,000)from the darkness, which obviously wasn't that dangerous if all it took was one gold to save one person in Albion, plus about 2.5 mil extra for royal expenses accrued by making the best moral choice (one of only two).

The whole Royal responsibility was really a bunch of ultimatums, but I thought it looked lovely and I really feel the interaction system, while rather simple and arbitrary (You always have three choices, no choice of what those choices might be [as far as selecting your own expressions, you're out of luck], but they're A [good] X [bad] Y [funny]. You have to purchase expressions through the Road to Rule, a way of balancing out the purchase of upgrades by allowing you chests along the metaphorical road to the castle, sectioned off by gates that would unlock based on your progress through the story, preventing you from becoming too powerful early on, and there's no health upgrades, meaning you really have to pay attention to how much you get hit (which is ironic because there's no health bar[the health automatically recovers over a long period of time, or you can eat food/drink a potion]). Instead of purchasing some sort of body growth, you purchase upgraded weapon/magic damage with guild seals.

Depending on how you use your character, they will develop in different ways. If you're more into melee combat, your character will become more muscular, if you're into ranged combat, they get taller. And the magic, while it still appears in runes on your body, will only be visible during the charge for a melee flourish (along with the much-touted wings, but only at the very end of the game). And it's a different set of runes for each outfit and article of clothing you're wearing. But, you can weave spells together in this game, so instead of a regular fireball, you might have it paired with a lightning bolt or a storm of ice shards that impale enemies. The magic system is really just holding the button down for as long as it takes to charge your particular spell. But there are only two types of spell; area of effect and target specific. It's also completely impossible to aim through a crowd to get the most powerful enemy, your only choices are what's immediately ahead of you.

I found myself cursing the camera (not literally, that would be silly), because after a particularly spectacular event (or, more likely, for any other damn reason) the game will automatically zoom in and go into slow motion, accentuating the event. After these slo-mo spectacles, the camera automatically pans back out to you, but not in the direction the camera was originally in. So, for a few seconds until you correct the camera, you have to deal with the combat, which is pretty much like Fable 2, but slower, and with only 6 types of enemy available.

I like it. It's more like Fable 2 than I'd hope for, all this is is a graphical upgrade (that slows down my 360 at times). It looks great, has a great story at the beginning, it's very easy to make money once you delve into real estate and businesses, but that's obvious. The jobs are basically guitar hero with the controller (and is guitar hero when you're playing the lute), and consist of pressing A X and Y . They're simple enough to play, but I'm not reliable enough to play perfectly, so I get annoyed after repeat attempts.

Environments are huge. They are HUGE.

Yes. I have Fable (and Lost Chapters), actually really liked fable 2 (and bought it), and now, obviously I'm donating to what will become fable four. Peter even said there'd be a five. I find if I don't listen to all the hype Molyneaux puts into his games, except for a few bits and pieces, I'm impressed with the games and find they're flawed gems when they come out. They all have bugs, because somehow they never meet the deadline. Some different arrangements need to be reached, or maybe they need to speed up the game-making. I don't know. But I really like the games. Simon Pegg and John Cleese are voices in 3. There's a very Monthy Python atmosphere to the game.
In one of the quests I open up a group of islands for colonization, and everyone there has a wooden caravan wagon. "So I guess we can just flip our caravans over and they'd float, right?...Yes, yes, I'm sure that would be fine."

Played Fable, some parts were loveable, but quite a few parts of the plot were retarded enough to dislike it as a whole.

I use a spear, since I found this super awesome spear called Shadowsting which allows me to do like 320 (buffed) dps at level 26.

    Edit: I purchased Black Ops yesterday, but I didn't get to play it because Steam had me downloading it all night. It's still downloading. ;-;

Oh man, the store was filled with people! There was a line outside! How bad is that! Lucky I preordered.

I downloaded Black Ops via steam during the wee small hours of the morning when nobody else in the building is using the Internet and I get about 1.8Mb/s download speed. Didn't do me much good since I still haven't had time to really sit down and play it. Four-day weekend for Veterans Day though, I'll be gaming my ass off do doubt.

It blows major ass until they fix a lot of issues. I can't really say my PC is high end, but still, the frame rate issues are just... Wow. There's issues for exactly 1:32 minutes of multiplayer gameplay, then it subsides and you can actually "play the game" like you're supposed to. This happens EVERY MATCH. At least for me.

Had crashing issues in campaign, but I just updated my video driver so hopefully that's fixed. Multiplayer, no issues other than other peoples lag pissing me off. And campers. But that's online gaming for you. The MP is more of the same that you know and love, just tweaked and re-skinned. Haven't tried Zombies yet.

But yeah, so far mostly good things.

Started playing Dungeon Keeper 2 again.

God, the game is just great. And the voice acting... Well, not much needs to be said if you've played the game, and if you didn't, you should do it right NOW.

A friend in college borrowed both my X-Com disc and my Dungeon Keeper 2 disc and I never got them back. What a black hole!

While we're talking about xcom, there's a free 'remake' of sorts called UFO Alien Invasion which is pretty awesome.

It's not finished and you'll only ever get so far in the campaign, but interesting none the less: http://ufoai.ninex.info/wiki/index.php/News

There's also UFO 2000 if you want to play multiplayer.

Mind you, I'll take Dungeon Keeper 2 over either of those any day.

I take it you're more the fantasy buff than the science fiction enthusiast. Not so with me, as I lean the other way. Even if I didn't, I don't think I could deny the style and execution of X-Com; it is practically perfect in every way.

I was skeptical of the X-Com remake you shared because I had been aware of Project Xenocide, which appears to be in ruin now. There is hope for this UFO Alien Invasion.

    Other X-Com information--mostly of a trivial nature--includes:
A port of X-Com to the Nintendo DS. It's been three years, he must be done with it by now.
An honest-to-God tactical combat game that was actually released to Nintendo's GameBoy Advance. The inclusion of character-specific abilities and artwork was cute, but it is no substitute for the real thing.

How exactly does $35 convert into 7000 feet, and are we talking linear, or square feet?
