Did you pick up the expansion too? The Dream Mastery is kind of neat, and the expansion adds some cool little features to the whole game.

It's far from what a full scale expansion used to mean. The last two (Ambitions and Late Night) have really just been glorified add-ons. They add about fuck all, really. A few cool things like penthouses and vampires, but everything else is just shit.

Remember back in the original Sims days when a new expansion meant an entirely new adventure?

Yeah, a friend bought it for me, with the expansion, so a group of us could play co-op. There's like 5 of us. Apparently we're supposed to be around level 10 now, but I've been soloing a lot, so I'm at 15. Whoops.

http://www.newvegasnexus.com/ and the affiliate sites are a must for any Bethseda game it seems. As for Sims expansions, the holiday one looks alright so I may pick that up but the idea of vampires and stuff in my sims sounds trashy.

Vampires are fun until you stay outside when the sun comes up. I've lost many a sim to the sun.
Werewolves in the Sims 2 are more fun, because they always win fights and like to howl.

Having ~175 (or was it ~200?) hours of game time on my latest save (while still having The Pitt, Point Lookout, Mothership Zeta and the Enclave-related part of the main plot waiting me), I can't say that it's unplayable. The game's fun, but I just find it hard to get back into the required mood at the moment.

I'm guessing you're not talking about this (release date: 2012)?

The last games I have been playing have been on the Gamecube.

I recently played Pikmin up until the point of beating it. The journey is much better than the final destination.

I'm close to beating Goblin Commander. It's probably as good as an RTS ever got on the 'Cube.

Picked up Fallout 3 a little over a week ago. Didn't want to work on my (Wn-indows 7) computer. So I gave it to a friend in exchange for Bioshock. Which isn't bad, but I've played better.

I've been curious about Bioshock. I might rent it.
Currently I'm playing Fable 3. I pre-ordered it so I could make my own villager.
I'm very impressed with the level of interaction given. To become friends you have to do small quests, like delivering letters and gifts, or finding lost items. It makes you really consider how many people you'd like to know. I recently finished the Mourningwood hollow-man quest, and accidentally killed Jammy (Wounded 714 times and still standing) by turning off the safety and shooting him in the back of the head. I'm finding the interactions mean more to me in a role-play of the hero, and the skill purchasing feature of accumulating guild seals and opening chests keep me from over-powering combat encounters; the fights are intense and exhilarating.
The story is great so far. I'm currently gathering followers to join in my revolution, where I will overthrow my insane brother, the King. I intend to be a kind and just king, and I'm wondering which choices I'll have to make as I ascend to the throne.

I did not rate Bioshock one bit, I thought the story was terrible and the gameplay was just a typical FPS. As for Fable 3 I am waiting till I have finished all my uni assignments for the year, should be done by Friday actually. Then I need to do one more playthrough of New Vegas so that I have completed the four main story arcs.

Bioshock well... You at least have a choice between "good" and "evil"," and you can hack whatever camera, turret, bot, or vending machine you see. Which reminds me of System Shock 2.

Unfortunately I don't seem to notice any story, it's more like someone tells you what to do and you do it. Comparable to SShock2, but without the incredible backstory and war between black and gray.

Anyway, that's just my opinion, and I'm glad to say that I at least have Deus Ex to keep me entertained.

The only real choice I saw in Bioshock was what you did to the little sisters.

That's more choice then I had in many other shooters. My main complaint would be that stealth is completely out of the question, and there are no alternate routes to where you want to go. Which isn't all that surprising, it being an FPS and all.

Just played through Dragon Age: Witch Hunt.

Complete and utter trash, you run around a couple of familiar areas for a while doing crapular little tasks that don't fit in with the original lore and without any familiar faces or any sort of recognition for the work you accomplished in Origins. It has the same disjointed feel as Awakening, which is strange as you would have thought they'd learn from Mass Effect 1/2.

Instead you're left with only three party members, no stores to purchase anything and a bunch of annoying cliche'd 'wit' mixed in with sheer annoyance, ala Anders in Awakening. Thankfully you'll only have to puke for an hour or so before the whole fucking thing comes crashing down in a by that point unsurprisingly crap ending.

Mind you, I did start a playthrough as a DW warrior for Origins. Even on Hard it's still far too easy (soloing revenants at level 12? Hmm...). I pussied out though and haven't really been an asshole to anyone, thinking I'll go for a mage again, be a complete cunt, and focus on pure spellpower over Arcane Warrior and the next best armour set unlike my first playthrough.

Still, does anyone have any recommendations for DA Mods? Stock game is starting to bore me a little, as atmospheric as it is.

It's almost decision time for CoD: Black Ops. To buy or not to buy? Probably buy. I would go with New Vegas, but the trailers for that seem to indicate it's going to be more of the same unsatisfying combat that consists mostly of running backwards.

New Vegas isn't played for the combat, but for the interesting quests and characters.

Besides, they added plenty of enemies who are quicker than you (FUCKING CAZADORES) so running away from them is useless.

On my Guns/Energy Weapons character, I always carried around some version of the Power Fist to deal with mutants like these.

    Brigand! :3

And in BioShock 2 you had the option of killing people you didn't like!

Buy! We can like, totally play zombie co-op. You be Nixon, I'll be EL PRESIDENTE. It'll be legendary.

As for New Vegas, it's the same shit as FO3. When the hell are they gonna stop being lazy and work on a new engine? So sick of Oblivion with guns.

    Fuck Cazadores, man. Fuck Cazadores.
