Want to make a new character...

OK, now that I know a little about modding the game, I want to make a character of my own: a combat engineer, a sapper.

I was thinking a character from a far away land (probably a half orc female) with bonuses to firearms, spot trap, disarm trap, representing military training.

But here's the thing, I want to play either A:WIP or Car-Arcanum on hard and I want it to be fun. And fun for me is a somewhat fragile PC (in the beginning) with a BOOMSTICK that mains and mauls wherever it goes.

So what kind of stat adjustments would sound right for a fun game? What kind of gun should I give this character? For that and thrown weapons (ie, grenades) will be her exclusive choice of weaponry. I was thinking of giving her a Vendigrothian Rifle or a Looking Glass Rifle, but I'm not sure.

Any suggestions will be helpful.
