May as well keep posting while thinking of Arcanum - I just had a crazy idea. See one of the reasons I almost always play mages even tho the technologist stuff is cool, is the teleportation spell. Now techies can take trains - however - not every local has a train station. Technically this makes perfect sense, but I think itd be hilarious and cool if every single location - even the ancient and forgotten ones, had train stations. I'm just picturing a city in the mountains with a station and the tracks have that third hook-track-thing which helps steam engines climb mountains.
Ah ok, hmm would definitely help, but for my technologist dudes I want some made tech version, even a steam punk teleporter which you have to build at each location would be cool. Or possibly teleporting trains I needs more sleep
Steampunk teleporters would be awesome. For a future mod, though, I think a hot-air balloon would be the neatest little tech solution.
The Russians have made a tech teleporter and even modified the teleport eye-candy colors to brown for use with it. Dig around their forum a bit and you'll see what I'm talking about. It looks really cool. :thumbup:
Why not use the planes the molochean hand half-ogres did fly at the start of the game? That would have that Lilienthal/Wright feeling of mastering the winds and sky in nothing but a few sticks of wood covered with linen and held together by spit and hope...
