[OOC]Actually, I'm just waiting for others to come by the front gate, such as Maniac, and Vlad when he gets back. Although, we really shouldn't all arrive in Caladon together...Sheriff and Vlad need to come to Caladon with me, so really, I'm waiting for either Sheriff or Maniac to make a move, or Vlad even when he gets back.[/OOC]

[OOC]Okay, since shit all is happening, I'm going to drag everyone around and maket something happen. This is what you get for letting the thread slack off guys! ThreeDogs is already in Caladon...I would also like to remind everyone that only Vlad and ThreeDogs' characters know I am an assassin. Everyone else can think what they want.[OOC]

I saw that TEA agent come over the bridge. I waited to see what he would do - would he be alone, or would he bring the rest of the Agency?

After waiting about 10 minutes, I didn't notice anyone following him. I left my hiding place just in time to see that CIA agent and a half-ogre come over the bridge as well. Damn, this was becoming quite a party!

I slunk back to my hiding place to see what they would do...Jobriath and the half-ogre approached the TEA man, and began speaking. I couldn't hear, but I could guess - introductions were fairly easy to spot, especially when there's lots of gesturing among 3 people, 2 of which already know each other.

I decided that now was the time to act. I left my hiding place and approached them.

    "Lovely morning, isn't it gentleman?"

They seemed surprised at my sudden appearance.

"Hello, Lendark," said Jobriath. "This is Blaggs," he continued, pointing at the half-ogre. "You already know Richard don't you?"

"Yes. Let's get a move on shall we?"

We began travelling in the direction that the strange man had indicated to us. With nothing better to go on, we had to trust him. After several hours, we came upon the farm.

I indicated that Jobriath should go ahead, being the most diplomatic of us all. He didn't look too happy, but he went to the farmhouse.

After about an hour, he returned, leading enough horses for us. He also held a sackful of items.

    "What's with the sack?"

"Presents," he said, tossing it at my feet.

I jumped back, more out of instinct than anything. Nothing happened. Still, it never paid to be cautious. Doing that had saved my life once.

I inspected the contents. Nothing unusual, except for a double sided note, one side of which read Go to Tarant. I will meet you there. Make sure that weasle I hired to kill Dugant follows through. If he fails, kill him and do it yourself. If YOU fail, I'll feed you to Leo.
    W.C.B.

Well, I may be an assassin for hire, but I am not a weasel! I have principals, I have morals, I have standards, and I have professional pride. I really wanted to kill Boothby now. Before, it was just business. Now, it was personal.

I brought my emotions under control. Emotional men got themselves killed, as I'd seen too many times. When he was dead, then I could celebrate. Until then, I had to keep my 'business' mind in control.

The other side of the note said I am sorry i am unable to meet you here as I promised. I will meet you on the road to Caladon. I must retrive some items before we maek for Caladon. I implore you not to kill Meg. Your pity on him today may save your life tommorow.

    Orlon KA-Lar

Okay, those instructions I could follow.

I passed the note around. "What does he mean to not kill Meg?" I asked Jobriath.

"Meg. Ah, yes, he is a troll. Good thing you sent me ahead. I don't kill such unfortunates."

I grunted. I don't know that I would have killed Meg, but I have not have let him live either.

    "Let's get going," I said.

We mounted our horses and rode off in the direction of Caladon. I hoped this Orlon fellow knew what he was doing, or we were going to be significantly late for our meeting in Caladon...

I'm afriad I'm gonna have to cut this short. I'll be leaving town for about 5 days. And where I'm going I have no access to the internet. This makes it rather hard for me to be the evil little villan in this thread.
So, If you feel like killing me before I come back its fine. Just make sure I put up a good fight, Ok?
    [/OOC]

The following morning the train pulled in to Caladons central station. I was greeted by 2 of my bodyguards, and directed to a private carrage. Leopold and Gardok followed and soon we where on our way.
I tapped one of the guards on the shoulder...

    "Has everything been aranged?"

"Yes Master, everything is prepared. We have doubled our guards at your mansion, and your two Iron Golems are patrolling the compound around the estate."

The carrage came up to the estate. A 15 feet high wall with barbed wire on the top surounded the mansion. I could already hear the footsteps of the lumbering iron golems patrolling. They where't cheap, But who needs guard dogs when you have two walking mountans of living iron protecting you're base of operations...

"Good going lad. I'm sure I'll be safe inside. I'll just lay low while this whole thing blows over."

The half-orc bodyguard nodded and turned to the window to make sure no one was following us.
As we came up to the main entrance the carrage stopped. I could see that Gardok had made an exellent job at coordinating the defense of the mansion with just one telegram.
More then a dussin bodyguards where camped up on the roof. And I could see the occational mechanized gun shining in the moon light.

Leopold, Gardok and I made our way inside. As we entered, the two solid bronze doors locked behind us.

I sure could go for some 300 year old Elven brandy and a ciggar right about now...

[OOC] to those that I dont have an item for, sorry I just didn't know who all was coming with me. I'm gonna meet you on the road and the next post after some plesentries on the road will be us ariving in Caladon. I think we should trech it out and wait on flik to get back for our meeting.[/.OOC]

I ride up and stop in the road. My friends come riding up and spot me. Being the cautious people they are, weapons are draw.

"Easy friends, away with your weapons" They placed their various guns and such back to their sides.

"I have some things for you before we make for caladon." I hand the first Item to [OOC]Jar cause I dont know his name and such[/OOC]. "It is an ancient looking glass. I have used it for spyin before but I dont fully understand its power. I saw your long gun[OOC]the looking glass rifle you had when we met[/OOC] with a similar thing on it. I thought you might be able to use it. Here is the document that came with it." I hand the parchment and ancient looking glass to (jar)

"Now for you law man", I turn to (Vlad) "I'm not sure what this is but I found it on a dead law man a long time ago. I thought you might be able to tell me what it is and better yet use it.

"Were is your dwarven friend?" (Jar) tells me that he took a "train" to Caladon and he would meet us there. "Very weel I will give him this when we arrive."

"I am sorry that I do not have anything for the rest of you, for I am not particularly wealthy. I do have this for you all."

I hand each of them a pouch that contains a small bit of powder."It is a stamina maintainer and it wil allow us to ride to Caladon with out sleep. It will only last for 3 days, so I sugest we move along swiftly.

I snort my powder and motion to the rest to do the same. With that I spur my horse towards Caladon and ride hard. They do the same and follow. This will be a long ride.
    Next stop Caladon.

[OOC]I'm in Seattle for the week and onnly have limited access to the internet, via AO hell. I'll try to check abck late in the day so I can post. The next posts should be us getting to Caladon. Later[/OOC]

I snorted the powder with a fair bit of skepticism. He could be poisoning us! Then again, he'd taken it himself...At the first sign I felt ill, I would shoot him, I decided.

We all rode hard. I'd given my horse some of the powder as well, to keep him going. With any luck, he wouldn't die on me.

As we rode, I studied the looking glass. It didn't seem any different than normal, so I put it in my sack. I had a gun I wanted to put it on, and it wasn't the particularly fine rifle I'd used to kill Dugant...

I opened my mouth wide and yawned... We had followed Diggs for as long as our little legs would carry us, but in the end we just couldn't keep up... Lu was stumbling along with his eyes half-closed as the sun set over the building tops, and I couldn't seem to remember how to get back to the Boil... I was so tired... Lu grabbed my hand to keep from falling, and I decided to curl us up in the first soft dark place we came across... "Only for a minute, Lu," I muttered as I climbed into an abandoned train car, "Just a second, and then we'll find our way back home, just wanna sleep for a little while..."

A sharp whistle woke me out of a sound sleep into the soft grey-orange of just before dawn... I rubbed my fists blurrily across my eyes, and sat up... "What the..." The world was sliding by in a smudge of green and brown... "Uh-oh..." This was bad... I don't even know where we're going! I sat back on my heels and started to cry... Before I stopped crying, the sky had turned pink, then lavender, then finally lightened into a beautiful pearl blue... I had mostly stopped when I decided to wake Lu... But even as I turned to shake L'Terzi, we were both jolted across the floor as the train jerked against the tracks... Lu turned sleepy green eyes in my direction, and raised an eyebrow. "I don't know! I think... I think we're in alot of trouble, Lu... I'm all sick feeling in my stomach..." I hastily wiped away a tear, and tried to keep from crying... The world was slowing down now, it looked like we stopping at a station... When the train finally pulled to a stop with a final lurch, Lu grabbed my hand and jumped onto the gravel... He pulled me into the shadow of a large building, and put his finger to his lips. I put my back against the wall and slid to the ground... I had no idea what to do next, but suddenly Lu pulled me back to my feet and whispered in my ear. "Are you sure?" I asked. He nodded, and I peeked around the corner. Lu was right! The dwarf Orin was just getting off the train... I didn't know where we were or what he was doing here, but as the only familiar thing in our surroundings, I decided to follow him wherever he might go... Lu and I slid around the other side of the building, and tried to keep up as Orin stomped away from the train and into the city...

[OOC]Okay, since no one seems to be doing anything, I am going to be dragging characters around.[/OOC]

After several days of beating the horses near to death, we reached Caladon in just under three days. The poor horses. I didn't like it, but we had to get to Caladon as quickly as possible.

We came to the top of a hill, and I reined in for my first look at Caladon (convenient hey?). A big city. I liked that. Not as many factories. I liked that too. A nice big castle. That was good as well. I liked this new (for me) city.

"Okay, fellas, we have to split up. We can't go riding in together. Don't forget, we have to meet at the Sobbing Onion." I paused, then indicated the strange fellow with the black glove. "Why don't you take yourself on a tour of the city and countryside for several hours?" He nodded once, and then rode off. "As for you three, well, Jobriath, why don't you take Blaggs in. Blaggs, you'll have to act as his servant." He didn't look too happy, but I held up a hand. "That's the way it's gotta be. Half-ogres don't travel around without masters. Now, as for you, Mr TEA, I want you to go in now. I'll follow in an hour, then Blaggs and Jobriath will go after me. First, we'll split up though."

They nodded, and the TEA agent went straight down the hill towards the city. Jobriath and Blaggs went left, so I went right. After waiting the right amount of time, I went into the city.

"Excuse me," I said, accosting the nearest guard, "but where can I find the Sobbing Onion?"

"Head straight up this street, and you won't be able to miss it, sir," he replied.

"Thank you my good man," I said, and was on my way. He was right - I found the place without difficulty. As I entered the bar, I spotted Orin with a mug of ale in front of him.

"Greybeard!" I said, loud enough for him, and anyone listening, to hear. "There you are!" I hoped he'd also be able to improvise a name...

    back!
    [/OOC]

I took another sip of elven brandy. Normally the flavor of this goldish beverage would be so good that it would bring a tear to my eye. but today I didn't even have time to taste it. After ariving about 10 hours ago I'd taken a short nap and eaten a quick snack.
The rest of my time had been spent in the big leather chair in my study.
I had always loved sitting in this chair, but today it could just as well have been a box of potatoes.
I was stressed. Most of my time had been spent in front of my telegraph-typewrighter.
Yes, Thats right. I'd personally seen to it that there where telegraph-lines connected with my mansion. Being a man of technoligy, I saw the potential in this new form of communication. As such I was the first man in Caladon to be able to send telegrams from my home, One of the smartest ideas I'd ever had by the way...
But even tough I had all this comfort at my disposal I was still doing some pretty hard work.
I was in the middle of sending messages to all my buisness contacts in Caladon, Making sure that they support me should I be charged with stealing the patents. IF enough of them would back me up, The TEA and the CIA would be powerless. Even if they had a ton of evidence against me. I would have to use all my skills of persuation, But I was still mildy confident that I would succeed. If given enough time...

Sorry, I was away because my computer had some problem. Windows XP is tool of the devil! But it's still good.
    [OOC]

I came into the city. A really beautiful city it was. I had a nice tour around town. Then I saw Boothby's mansion.
"Damn...he's a tough nut." I thought to myself. That gnome was preparing quite a welcoming party for us. I sighed and went to the Sobbing Onion. There I saw the two guys. I walked up to them and took a seat.

Blaggs and I rode around to the shoreline and followed it for a good bit. We stopped and had a bite to eat and engaged in some light conversation. He had a marvelous idea about criminal identification. It had something to do with little bits of tissue. He said that because no two people were alike it should be possible to determine the identity of a person from that tissue. It seemed like an impossiblity to me, but one never knows.

After a couple of hours we mounted our horses and headed into the city. I did not want my superiors to know that I was back in Caladon so we came in through the slums. The guard patrol through that part of town is almost nonexistant. We made our way around to the market district where we found a stable. We put up our horses and started toward the Sobbing Onion.

As we made our way to the street that the Onion was on, I got a sneaking suspition that we were being watched. After a couple more blocks I was sure of it. I caught a glimpse of a shadowy figure slipping in and out between the buildings behind us.

"We are being followed," I said to Blaggs. "I need to find out who it is." Not slowing down I said to him, "When we get to this corner go left. Go two blocks and take the next right. The Sobbing Onion is up on the left. I am going to go right and try to get behind the person that is following us. They should follow you because you are easier to see through the crowd. When you get to the Onion tell Lendark. If I do not show up within the hour go to the armorer around the corner from the Onion. He is a friend of mine and will know what to do. Don't come looking for me. We are here to do one thing, nail Boothby. Do that."

He nodded and when we got to the corner I went right and Blaggs went left. I quickly dove into the first shop I came to and waited for the shadowy figure to come around the corner.

We followed Orin through the streets of this new city as quickly as possible. My stomach was screaming with hunger--I hadn't eaten in days. I wanted to stop at several rubbish bins along the way and scrounge for scraps, but Lu had a firm hold on my bony wrist and trotted at a fast clip after the dwarf. He finally entered a doorway overshadowed by a sign painted with... well, I guess it was supposed to be something, but I couldn't figure it out. Lu pulled me to the floor and we crawled along the wall towards a table in the far corner, where Orin had sat down. "What are we doing?" I whispered in twin-speak to Lu. He motioned me to silence, and we crawled beneath the table the dwarf sat at. Lu put his mouth to my ear and explained "The Plan." I curled up next to him and hoped the dwarf would drop some food...

I came awake with a start as a voice from my nightmare's chased me into waking. Lu had clapped his hand to my mouth to stifle my scream, but I was already shaking off the last threads of terror. The voice was real, though. The sound ran along my spine like spider-legs, and the hair on the back of my neck rose in waves... It was the Dark Man, from Tarant... He had followed us here! But even as the thought came, I knew it was false. He had followed the dwarf here. Suddenly I didn't like "The Plan." Whatever the Dark Man was doing, I didn't want any part of it... But Lu was shaking my arm, trying to make me listen. The Dark Man had called the dwarf Greybeard... That couldn't be right! We listened as he sat down, and later as more pairs of boots crowded around the table. I just knew we getting into something we really didn't want to be a part of...

[OOC]Maniac, I'd like to remind you (in a friendly sort of manner) that you don't actually know that ThreeDogs and I are criminals. You just know that we're in this together.[/OOC]

I saw the half-ogre come in by himself. Dammit! What was Jobriath thinking? Well, I had to improvise. It wouldn't do having a half-ogre walking around without a 'master'. I thought quickly.

"Ah, there you Blaggs! Get over here, and hurry up with it! Did you do what I asked?"

He hurried over to the table, and tried to sit on a chair. It made for a fairly amusing, if short, spectacle. He soon gave up and sat on the floor. He was still as tall as me sitting on the floor as I was in the chair, so it didn't look too ridiculous...

    "Where's Jobriath?" I asked quietly.

He spoke quietly as he could, and told me of his plan.

"Hmph. Well, looks like we wait then..."

[OOC]Ok im back home and we can continue, I hate beign away from my computer.[/OOC]
I did as the man said and decided to wander around the country side for a while so as not to draw any attention to myself. I happened apon a stable and put my horse up for the duration of our stay.

I really didn't like cities at all, but this one wasn't bad, as far as cities go. I made my way into towna nd found the first guard that didn't look ike he was going to take my head off.

"Good Sir, might you tell me were the sobbing Onion, I think it is called, is located." He replied with a gruff and a point. "Thank you good sir" If he only knew I would normally cleave a man for such disrespect. How I long for the wilderness.

I move down the side walk and cross over to the bar. I go in and see my group sitting at a table together. I sit at a table next to them so that i can hear what is goin on but as not to look like I'm with them. Can't be too careful

"Weres the other chap, your 'master'?"

This had gone from decidedly bad to steadily worse. L'Terzi had his head cocked to the side with an intense expression on his face as he listened to the voices swirling above our heads. An ogre--or maybe a half-ogre-- anyway, something huge had broken the chair directly in front of us and now sat cross-legged on the floor in front of me. Each of his knees was as big as my head! I was ready to say the hell with "The Plan," but there was no way we could get away from the table now... And from the sound of things, these guys wouldn't be happy that we had been spying on them...

Suddenly, and completely against my will, my stomach rumbled in a bass like the ogre's voice. Everything went still above the table, and I closed my eyes in anticipation of sudden and immediate death. Why is it the earth never opens up and swallows you when you really need it to?

I heard a noise. It sounded like a wamble. I knew that it wasn't mine, and it didn't appear to originate from any of my companions. It certainly hadn't come from the half-ogre - who knows how loud a wamble from him would have been!

Slowly, I pulled a knife, and then my hand shot under the table, grabbed hold of something and yanked it out, my knife right next to whatever I had pulled out.

'It' was a little child, looking vaguely familiar.

"Well, what do we have here?" I said, moving my face closer to that of the child's. I deliberately breathed into the young child's face. It was a timeless trick to initially unsettle someone.
