"You have a shack near Blackroot you say? Well, we'll go there eventually. Hor-mel and I need some time to recover though - I've got this big friggin' rip in my shoulder, and my legs are shot to pieces...so unless you have healing skills, I'm going into the woods to rest for a while."

I kept on going - if people wanted to follow, they could, but as soon as I got to where my supplies were, I was hunkering down until I healed, even if that took a week.

I then decided to follow the half-orc
"Why exactly were you attacked in that bar,"I asked the orc"I want some answers so tell me or I will sacrifice you to the new god of evil and do not say that there is no god of evil cause there is and he will take mortal's energy and use it to end this pathetic world"

Dreig wandered off toward the woods. I wished that my skills lay in the School of White Necromancy, but, alas, they did not.
And now I had a decision to make: It seemed this Ogre was the object of my Summoning. Now, to keep him or not? Well, an Ogre Guardian often comes in handy, but I needed to regain some energy. I let go of my Fire spells, and felt much better. I also felt much, much slower. I didn't think I could keep up with Dreig without the Magick.
    The Ogre was silent.
"Richy, your suggestion is reasonable, but I agree with Dreig. We must have rest now. Still, I don't like the idea of that Elven creature lurking there in the woods."

"You want to know why I was attacked? I was attacked because some drunk human decided he didn't like my looks, so I decked him. Then the bartender had an issue with me, so I tossed him out before he tossed me out. Then guards started pouring in, some pointy-eared elf stabs me in the shoulder with his knife, so I slit his throat and maimed some guards in self-defence. I also don't go in for that religious junk."

Damn, if that elf kept on threatening me, he was going to end up cleaved in half by my axe - assuming I was able to find or make a replacement of course. Otherwise my fists would just have to do...

"Well you want to know why I was Death, well I will tell you the whole story.Ok I was just a skillful Dark Elf and I was then thought to be the thoughest Dark Elf living and so I was kicked out of my home city. Then when I was just walking in the forest a sorcerer came up to me.I never knew his name but he said he was only an image that came out of the viod.He told me if I did what he wanted done that I would be spared and then he told me to go and find some wheel clan and sacrifice them at this new evil god temple. So i dicided that I would do that. When I was looking a ran into the hero and he told me that I could stop my seaching cause this sorcerer was dead.I pulled out my evil blade and tried to stab him but then he unarmed me and he grabbed my blade. He then thrust the blade into my heart but I did not die, I became Death the royal follower of this evil god. I then killed the hero and I thanked the one evil god for helping me.

The human was looking at me funny. I didn't like it. I didn't like the way he'd yanked me off my hillside, and I didn't like the wool-mix in this poncho - it was giving me hives. I wanted to rant, to tell him what a bastard he was for dragging innocent shepherds all over the place just to do his bidding.

I lowered my brows menacingly, but I knew better than to fight the magic.

"You're looking a bit tired," I pointed out gruffly, "Maybe you need a lift?" Without waiting for an answer I picked him up and cradled him like a newborn lamb.

"Where to, then?" I rumbled, grinning mischieviously at his expression of alarm - I might not be the brightest penny, but I'd probably been through this more times than him, and there were ways.

I cracked into a smile as seeing the ogre pick up Hor-mel - funniest thing I'd seen all day. After a while, I came to where I had safely stored my supplies - I'd never see the stocks I had in the city again, I was sure of that.

I found the bandages, and started tying them myself - I may be a half-orc, but I'm not stupid. I could make a good variety of weapons and armour, and perform some rudimentary healing given the proper equipment.

The Ogre hoisted me into his arms, and I was too weak to struggle. He reminded me of my Unca Bar-bel, and he was touching me in the same places.
"All right, then, Ogre. Follow Dreig. He seems to be amused by my plight. And Richy, I'll take a slug of that whiskey."
The booze burned a hot path down my throat and I sighed with relief as the Ogre marched after Dreig.
We followed him into a small glade, where he began bandaging his shoulder. I spied a pile of leaves that looked pretty comfortable.
"And now, Ogre, just set me down over there, please. Oh, and you can take your thumb out of my ass. Thanks."

Wondering why the human hadn't noticed the absence of a nail, I set him down gently on the pile of leaves, and re-arranged my poncho modestly.

Fortunately, I had remembered alcohol is a poison, and managed to relieve my ward of the flask before he could take a another sip. Just to be safe, I downed the remainder of the flask in a few swallows. It wasn't Sally's Shite, but it wasn't bad either for townie muck.

Satisfied there were no other dangerous threats in the area, I settled down next to the man named Hor-mel and waited for something interesting to happen.

"Well, I'm going to rest here for a while. You don't like it, you can leave. No one forcing you to stay..."

I thought I'd get to know some of these fellows a bit better, seeing as they seemed to be staying with me...

    "So, Hor-mel, what's your story?"

"Keep that fire small, fellow. Don't forget, we're on the run at the moment...we're officially outlaws now, or at least for the next couple of years. Hope you didn't have any pressing business in, or attachments to, Tarant. You're not going back for a while..."

My lower regions ached, but I felt well enough to relate my story to Dreig.
"You and the Ogre I think I can trust, and maybe the rest of you.
I was preparing to kill a young woman when I heard the noise in the pub...you know what happened next...I am not an assassin by trade, merely an exporter of other people's property. But this once, I needed a big score, so I accepted the Guild's contract. Willougby has been influenced by the riches of a wealthy Pogen in Tarant. My backers warned the Pogen that if he did not disist in influencing Tarantian politics, he would be punished. He continued, and so I was assigned the task of assassinating his daughter, who also knows of the Willoughby scam, to teach him a lesson. I never wanted to do it. But now that I have failed, I suppose the illicit breeding of Half-ogres will continue."

"Whoa, hold on a second. People are breeding Half-Ogres illictly? That just ain't right."

Grumbling to myself I thought this over. I was in very strange company, of who I could only really trust 2 - Hor-mel and his Ogre. That was it. The guy who lived in Blackroot seemed dodgy, and this 'Death' or 'Bloodbane' or whatever he wanted to call himself would probably turn on us when he got the chance...

"Hey you ogre!!You drank all of my whisky! That's not fare!"I would have gladly shot that ogre but my "friends" probably wouldn't have liked it.They seemed fond of that idiot.
"Hey Hor-Mel we are colleges in some way.You see I am a hired hitman.I don't have any contract now.I was just passing through and then I heard the fight I just thought I may as well practise my skills. And what's your story Dreig?"hm it seems these guys are quite interesting.Especially Hor-Mel.
