When I finished I sat for a few minutes thinking of what the quickest way to the clan was. I excused my self and stepped out of the tent. The camp had become a flurry of activity guards scarping their weapons and such. I might have bumped in to Gen. Andrew Gather, but maybe not all these elves look and act the same. I walked to my tent. I had my armor on from the first day I came to the camp and it was still badly dented. I grabbed my pack but on my Item belt (which hold things that are not weapons) I slipped the boxes of bandages into their places. Put my revolver on the opposite hip of my Pyro axe. I stuck my bullets into the respective slots on my weapon belt. I took off my armor put it on the bed. I took out my Pyro axe and used the opposite side as a hammer to get the large dent out. I did it with expert skill and when I was finished it looked as good as it did and was smooth to the touch. I grabbed my water bottle stuck it to the front of my belt just above the higher part of my leg on the opposite side I put my Vendigroth Whisky on my belt now in a metal container. It was finely made out of mirthel I had had it for a long while.
I was prepared my legs where banged and covered with pants made out of chain mail my boot where simple and made out of leather. I had worn shoes to Tarent and let them their my gauntlets where in my closet in the cave along with my helm boots and automation. I was ready and walked out to find Amohl.

After I finished my breakfest I went to my tent where I stared at the floor... I was kind of tired because I did not sleep very well. The dead woman hunted me in my sleep. But I would get over it, I was sure of it.

For now I would prepare in any way I could... to build up my fatigue. I would need it later on.

After Mercren and Feril left to prepare themselves, it was just Katherine and I at the table. I continued chatting about nothing in particular for a while. After about ten minutes, the conversation had drifted onto the subject of dreams. The topic was making me a bit anxious, but before I could divert it to something else, Mercren came stomping up behind me. I turned around and looked at him. He was all decked out and ready to go. "What are you still doing here? Weren't you the one who wanted to start early?"

"Oh, I do. I'm already ready to go. I travel light normally, and having been robbed of most of my things anyway, I don't have much to pack." I stand up and bow to Katherine. "Since the good dwarf is ready, we'll excuse ourselves and go find Feril. We'll try to tell Gather we're leaving, but if he's busy, I assume I can trust you to inform him."

Katherine nods back. "Of course. Good luck, Amohl. I hope you find your sister and make it back to us." I return her wave and step outside behind Mercren.

"Alright, let's hope Feril is in his tent and hasn't wandered off again." I flash a smile and head off towards Feril's tent. Peering cautiously inside, I notice the elf sitting silently on the floor, apparently meditating or something similar. I clear my throat gently, and he looks up at me. "We're ready to go. You all packed?"

Amohl broke through my deep thoughts as he carefully entered the tent.
"You all packed?" he asked... I thought a while and said "yes... yes I'm done, let's go.
Amohl left the tent and I quickly got all my things, stuffed them into the sack I had prepared and followed Amohl quickly.

Mercren was packed quite light by the looks of it. Amohl however had a bit of a heavier load.
"Ahh well.. I'm sure I got the things that I'll need on the way" I thought to myself.

Katherine was still sitting at the table... probably waiting for Evie... "where was that girl anyway?" I mumbled in myself.

I quickly caught up with Amohl and Mercren who had a bit of a head-start.

We were off to Gathers tent to report we were done and ready to go.
We approached the place and quietly entered.....

[ooc] ok if I might have goofed up a bit... sorry, but I've been away a bit too long to get a good overall look on the situation. So we were off with Anohl right... to find his sister. well it's just waiting for (Maniac) Gather to post....[/ooc]

As the three wanted to enter the tent a guard stopped them.
    "Authorized personel only!"
"What?! We were eating and chatting together yesterday and today it's AUTHORIZED PERSONEL ONLY?! Let us through." demanded Mecren.
"I can't Sir! Orders of Gather. Please don't make me use violence. If you want to leave any message I'll give it to Gather." asnwered thr soldier.
Mecren was about to cut the guard in half but was stopped by Amohl and Feril.
"Just tell him we left." said Feril.
    "Alrgiht."

after we stopped Mercren from freaking out we set off on our own. I didn't know the exact location of where we were going so teleport wasn't an option and ofcourse the dwarf had a tech. background so that made it virtually impossible.
We walked into the direction Amohl told us......

[ooc] ok, this can't be in anyones way anymore. [.ooc]

    0900 hours - April 8, 1985

Mercren and Amohl popped their heads in through the tent flap again as they left. I bid them all good luck and wished them well.

I finished my breakfast. Still no sign of Evie and I was getting worried - she does, after all, have detailed intellegence about the enemy locked up in that brain of hers and although we'd kept the entire thing secret, she was still in danger.

I got, thanked the cook and her daughter, and left the tent. The sun was higher in the sky now and it was a bright crisp morning. There were still traces of snow in places, but then it doesn't stop snowing until well into spring near Stillwater. I started to make my way over to Andrew's tent. Maybe he knew where Evie was, and if he didn't then he needed to know she was missing.

I got to Andrew's tent to find a couple of guards standing outside. One stopped me as I drew nearer. "Authorised Personel Only!" he said officiously.

"Oh! Well, I believe I AM authorised personel." I replied, somewhat annoyed at the guards attitude, but then I suppose he was just doing his job. "Please, just tell Andrew - General Gather - I'm here. There is something I need to discuss with him about a mutual young lady friend of ours. He'll know what I mean. Oh, and tell him the others have left with Amohl."

    [OOC]
Please let me in! It's lonely out here all on my own! DoS isn't around any more and everyone else has left!

As Eve was telling the details my guard's head popped in.
"Sir. Sorry Sir! There is a young lady named Katherine here and she asks to see you."
    "Let her in soldier."
    "Yes Sir!"
Katherine stepped inside and joined our conversation.

    [OOC]
Come on Rosie I need to know the details. I can make them up myself if you want. Or Ferret you might think of something?

We walked out of Stillwater. I took out my map and studied the route I had drawn we planned to go by way of Hardens pass then from there we would stop at Quintarra for supplies then make are way south to the bridge of the Lethe Warrven finally further south we would separate at some point. I would go gather my warriors and Amohl and Feril would go find Mare if I finished before them I would offer my assistance in the search. I handed the map to Amohl to see what he thought of my plan.

After looking carefully at the map Mercren handed to me, I give it back to him. "It's an excellent plan, except for one problem. Mare is north, not south." I stop walking and close my eyes, deep in thought. "On foot, it'll be about 3 or 4 days travel to her home. From there, it would be about another days travel to Hardin's pass." Muttering to myself, I try to think of a way to solve the problems here. Suddenly I look up, a gleam of triumph in my eyes. Then the gleam leaves and I look weary.

"I think we should go to Mare's first. Unless the clearing was searched very thoroughly, I should have something there that will help speed up travel times. And I need to know what happened. I know there's a war and everything going on, but she's all I had left. I'll understand if you need to go to your clan. I can't go with you until I know more though."

I'm assuming you'll be with us at least until we've investigated Mare's house, DW.
    [/OOC]

With our decision made, at least for the next 3 days, we set out north. Traveling at a brisk pace, we cover a considerable amount of ground before stopping for a short break around mid-day. Mercren and Feril both eat a light lunch. While they eat, I walk a short ways away and simply stare off north. After they're finished, everyone stands up and we keep on walking.

Nothing very eventful occurs on our first day on the road, but we have covered more ground than I'd anticipated. "We might reach there a half day earlier if we keep this pace up." We find a small clearing and stop for the night. I ask Mercren and Feril to start a fire. "I'll be back shortly." Waving, I step out away from the camp.

Fifteen minutes later, I come back into camp with 3 good sized rabbits in my hand. Smiling, I toss them down next to the fire. My friends look at me in surprise. "What? How do you think I survived on the road, or at home?"

After our meal, I suggest we sleep two at a time. "We're in the wilds, it's always a good idea to set a guard. To scare bears away if nothing else. Hmm, Feril can take the first shift, then Mercren. I'll take the last." I grin slyly at Mercren, who protests.

"Oh no, you're not going to wake me up again. You take the middle shift. I'll take the last." Shrugging, I agree and prepare my bed.

After we agreed on the order of the watch I lied down then I realised that if he was in the middle he would have to wake my up for my shift but I fell asleep before I realized I could protest.

[ooc] I'm going to bring in some action if you don't mind [/ooc]

I sat on the log... waiting... staring... thinking about what-not.

I thought I would fall asleep sitting but something caught my attention.
I heard twigs cracking as if something large stepped on them.
    I carefully approached the sound.
Unfortunately for me I cam e a little too close to it.
Out of the bushes, a Wyvern jumped towards me, followed soon by his monarch companion.
The sound had woken up Amohl and Mercren and they stormed out of the tent.
I managed to shake off the wyvern and take a leap back, which brought me besides Amohl and Mercren who stood in an offensive stand.
I got myself together and we all charged.

[ooc] alrgiht... who want's to write the battlescene?? Don't make it too quick like a: "woosh there they go back to sleep now" battle... just pretend the wyverns are tough S.O.B-es [/ooc]

As we charge the wyvern and monarch, I snap off a quick spell. Vines shoot up from the ground to entangle both, then wither and fall to the ground. I skid to a halt. "Dammit, I hate it when that happens." Thinking quickly, I cast another spell and a swarm of insects streams from my hands. I direct them towards the eyes of the wyvern, hoping to distract the beast long enough to prevent serious injury to my companions, who were still charging.

The wyvern was distracted by my swarm for a moment, before lunging at Mercren. The dwarf managed to roll to the side and swing his axe in time to open a slice in its flank. With a roar, the wyvern turned and snapped at him.

Meanwhile, Feril was having a bit of a problem with the monarch, as it was proving as resistant to his spells as it had to mine. Dodging around to avoid the claws, he managed to summon a powerful zombie. The zombie managed to deal a couple of severe blows to the monarch's head, before being sliced in two.

"What the hell is going on here?" Muttering to myself, I cast another spell, and a bank of clouds roll in. They start dropping heavy raindrops, reducing visibility, for both sides, but it also affects the creatures senses of smell, giving us a slight advantage, I hoped.

Mercren was holding his own against the wyvern, neither one seeming to be able to hit the other. Suddenly the wyvern's tail swept around and took the dwarf's legs out from under him. A bolt of lightning struck the wyvern, stunning it for a brief second. Just long enough for Mercren to roll out of the way and back to his feet.

The monarch, a little dazed from the zombies blows, has slowed down. Feril seems to have an easier time of dodging and tries to cast a powerful spell. It goes off, but once again the monarch shrugs off most of the effects. But it is moving a little slower again.

Mercren charges forward and rolls under the wyvern, using his axe to open up a cut in its belly. It roars again and tries to crush him with its own weight. Luckily Mercren was already away when it crashed to the ground, thrashing. Charging again, he leaped on its back and planted his axe firmly in the wyvern's skull. Lodging it there completely. He spent about a minute tugging on it, before it popped free and sent him rolling off the back of the now dead wyvern.

The monarch seemed to be slowing down considerably as Feril cast spell, after spell at it. But it simply wasn't going down. I direct my storm clouds to send another bolt of lightning at it. Unfortunately, it misses and strikes a nearby bush, causing it to erupt into flame. The bolt also blinds both Feril and the monarch for a split second. In that second, I take some energy and form it into a small, hard ball. It floats in the air before me for a second, before hurtling forward to smash into the monarch's side. Causing it to stagger just as Feril recovered his vision. Once more, Feril casts his spell, and they both collapse to the ground. Feril in exhaustion, and the monarch in death.

The clouds disperse as Mercren finds his feet and I rush over to check on Feril. "He's still breathing. Must've just used up all his energy casting his spells." Mercren and I carry him back to the tent to rest, before dealing with the corpses.

I hope this is suitable for everyone. If you would like anything changed, let me know.

After the Skirmish with the wyverns we laid Feril in a tent. I restocked the campfire while Amohl went to casting some rain spell on his burning bush.

Amohl elected to take the this watch so I returned to sleep.

I sit down on a nearby log, settling in for a long tedious night. I keep an ear open for any out of place sounds, and watch the sky. A very boring half hour later, inspiration strikes. I stand up and quietly cast a spell. The body of the wyvern very slowly floats closer to the camp. Settling it gently to the ground, I set about trying to pry one of its larger teeth out. I finally manage to extract it.

Standing up, I take a careful survey of the area around camp. Nothing seems amiss, so I bend over to work on skinning the wyvern. Constantly checking around for any more surprises, it takes me a good two hours to finish. After I've skinned the beast, I set about pulling as many teeth out as I can, as well as claws.

By the time I need to clean up, I've managed to get about forty pounds worth of wyvern hide, five good sized teeth, and four claws. I levitate the skinless corpse back over to where it belongs. Making sure there aren't any stray scraps of meat stuck to the inside of the hide, I place the teeth and claws on it. I bundle it up, managing to fashion a crude strap to carry it by.

With about three hours left to dawn, I go to wake up Mercren. I carefully tap him in the leg, making sure it isn't the one he injured. He sits up and looks at me suspiciously. "It's time for your watch. There weren't anymore surprises, let's hope it stays that way." I toss my bundle next to my bed and prepare to go to sleep as Mercren gets ready for his watch. He eyes the bundle curiously before stepping out of the tent.

"Here's to an uneventful night, free of dreams." I drift off to sleep.

I opened my eyes in the middle of the night. The last thing I remembered was passing out and now I was lying in the tent. Apearently my efforts were not in vain and we had won.

Noticing Amohl sleeping I looked out of the tent. Mercen sat in a tailors position. Mumbling in himself. I walked out of the tent carefully not to wake up Amohl.

"Hello Mercren... I see we won," gesturing towards the skinned wyvern.

"Ah, Feril!" Mercren said "you seem ok again... good thing, I thought you would be unconsious a lot longer."
I smiled at him, "I don't know how long I've been gone anyway. But I think I'm back in reality again."
"Good thing!" Mercren replied. And he focussed his energy on staying awake again.

I walked a short distance into the woods. When I was sure no-one would see me again I pulled up my sleeve. Underneath I looked at the tatoo.
It was a masterpiece of art, but I hated it.
I read the words once more: "Ipun Heasop Moneg". It was a dark elven family language. I knew what it said, but in my head I pretended I didn't.

I shove the sleeve back down my arm and went back to the tent.

Inside I couldn't sleep at all. But after an hours I couldn't stay awake anymore and fell into a deep sleep once more.

It was near sunrise, the air was old and the forest quite the birds would begin their song soon. I pulled out my revolver aimed it and fired. Let that wake up Amohl I said as a near by turkey fell from her tree. Amohl ran up "What, what is it" I walked over to the turkey and plucked off the ground its wings where still moving as if trying to fly away. “Breakfast!" I responded grinning. He gave me a smile and I went about preparing the turkey for dinner.
