Resourcer is much better. Slightly slower than the frieghter, but bigger hold and gather capability, as well as stronger and has drones.

You can still trade just as easily, and with a bigger hold it's well worth it, but resourcing gives better EXP, although it takes more turns.

Either way, resourcer is better. Don't forget to set your weapons mode to None/4x Evade though, to maximise your chances of escaping combat.

Also, sorry for the jurisdiction spelling - I really should get a dictionary! I'm normally really good at spelling....

Well, I'm going it alone ... with anyone who will join me. Naturally, massive advantages will accrue, although I'm not in a position to tell non-allied people what they are. Suffice to say, it won't be something as mundane as helping you out in anyway.

Ferret, I would love to join your alliance, but the honour of TA is at stake, so I am afraid I will have to demonstrate my loyalty, by creating a pitifully bad alliance of a very small number of people and leading them into battle and defeat.

I can't promise you money. I can't promise you success. I can't even guarantee you'll survive. If you enjoy the experience, I'll be pleasantly surprised.

Ok, how do the bounties work? I mean, i clicked on bounties and it had a list there, so is that who you are supposed to kill and how do you get payment?

 

I'm afraid, man. I went digging around on the TDZK boards looking for some answers to my questions (what are newbie turns? stuff like that), and apparently as soon as our newbie turns are over, we will get our asses kicked. There are hunters out there who prey on people like us.

Right now, I have enough cash to buy a cruiser. I just need to find a station that sells one. No way I'm gonna be a sitting duck in this Resourcer once my newbie shield is gone.

Anyway, an alliance of two doesn't sound too "alliance"-y. More of a "let's hold hands while the universe beats on us", but what the hell? We gotta start somewhere. I'm gonna go see about outfitting a Cruiser now.

Phoenix, you gotta join us. We need people. Jarinor, too. Everyone, goddammit. If no one joins us, me and Fatman will be humiliated and we'll have to go to Ferret with our hats in our hands and egg on our faces. The position of leadership is pretty much open right now, defaulting to Sheriff Fatman since there's no way in hell I'm gonna do it.

Question: What good are levels in this game? I don't see any advantage to being a higher level as opposed to a lower level. What am I missing here? There are no hitpoints or anything that I can see. I'm talking about pilot levels not ship levels.

 

Or, you could go to ferret now and join his alliance and get the money he is offerin. And the level affects combat i know, it helps by increasing maneaverability(sp) and accuracy i believe. I was readin the help stuff. I might join yall, ya never know. Right now i am travelin back and forth between these two stations sellin electronics. I am a wraith, what are yall.

 

I can answer that one. The level difference between opposing combatants affects the chance each weapon fired will hit. It is 3% per level of difference.

 

Hmmm... maybe we should. It took me along time to get the 10,000,000 spacebucks I have now. That 15 mil would come in handy.

What do you think, Fatman? We could be like the representatives of TA-HoL within Ferret's alliance. A faction, even. That would solve the leadership problem.

Haven't decided yet, he did offer a bit better incentive I kinda liked the sound of bein in his alliance then splitting off later on when we were more powerful.
