some multi player suggestions

1) you can keep equipped items when moving about different games/servers. but not items in pack

2) some more online options, a lot of games now allow player housing on fulltime servers, but if this could be accomplished to work with the typical arcanum servers, that would be sweet

-I would advocate creating permanent servers but if that were the case the game would go pay to play and i dont pay to play, not only would that blow but arcanum would lose a lot of players on that one.


Here are som NOT so multiplayer suggestions

3) the ability to see specific objects as they arrpear on your character when equipped, like hats, etc.

4) the ability to wear armor/clothes, etc. and still wear robes over them.

I always enjoyed dyes in UO, the ability to match your outfits by changing their colors.

 

Thats a good point, i would however have preferred that they be craftable and color specific, I.E. one could craft blue dye, red dye, adnauseum.

 

See, this wouldnt have been Arcanum. You're turning this into all other games.

 

my point in saying what i did about ultima is that these things would make excellent additions to the world of Arcanum, as in the first reference i made thereto in this thread.

The second was completely in reply to someone else talking about ultima, so I can't be held responsible for that, and i hardly think that two posts on the subject qualifies as a topic change, as this is al still in context, to a degree.

 

Hmm, did I say something about topic change? Nope, siree.

It is my personal opinion that game mods are stupid and to be avoided. (unless, of course, they fix bugs without adding nonsense like cars and shit)

How the hell did you get opic from open? The keys are on opposite sides of the keyboard.

Anyway, Arcanum has it's own flavor, as you've undoubtedly noticed. By adding every single good idea from every sinle game it doesn't retain it's flavor. It becomes some composite that, while probably very good, just isn't Arcanum.

 

I think opic should be topic, no?

 

Actually the word was topic, i missed a t.

Perhaps that is true, however these are just suggestions that I personally think would be nice to have.

lastly on the topic of the ultima style ideas, I Personally believe that they would only enhance the essence of what is truly arcanum, (speaking solely of course of the two suggestions i made concerning the idea)
