I had my phone returned to me yesterday morning, so it wasn't quite so shit arter all. Good morning.

 

I've had a good day so far, so I bid you all likewise.

On an unrelated note, I've decided to go on the fool's errand of trying to grow my patchy facial hair again. I have a sneaking suspicion that rather than resembling a dashing rogue, in reality I look more like an effete dog botherer. Only time and my prayers will prove if it grows into something more befitting a human face.

I just finished The War of the Worlds. It's kind of cute but remarkably credible. Three and a half stars.

I'm reading all these old sci fi ebooks because they're free, and they're quite good.

Sorry to hear about your hairy problem. Perhaps it is better that I could lend you some of my facial hair. Why? You may ask. The thing is that I actually have to shave EVERYDAY to prevent a full-bearded appearance.

Today is Saturday the twenty first of september. As I am posting it is 10:18 am. The sky is overcast and the temperature ranges through the low to mid 70's, there is a 20% chance of rain but we might see some early in the afternoon with a slight chance of thunderstorms later this evening.

Well, it was morning 15 minutes ago.

After a midnight draft of Theros, it still feels like morning. 0-2 record. The gods must hate me.

 

Last time I participated in a draft was for Ravnica, where I went 1-2 or something. Never been particularly competitive.

Even if there was a certain lack of birthday cake on the breakfast table, it still turned out to be a very enjoyable day, with a geological excursion, nice weather and cake in the field instead.
