Neither exactly. I did know the meaning of "figlio" previously, but I guessed at the rest (I do speak Spanish, which is a rather similar language).

Ironically, I speak more Spanish than Italian, since I've been taking classes in college. And yes, they are very similar, but in my obviously biased opinion, I think Italian is the more beautiful. I love how nearly every word ends in a vowel, making the sentances flow musically.

Well, the only languages I speak properly are Spanish and English, so I can't tell.

Is Spanish your first language? If so I certainly don't mean to offend with my comment about the beauty of Italian. Beauty can be found in any language, if spoken well.

Sí lo es. :) I mean yes, it is my native language. But I didn't take offense anyway. And I agree with your last comment.

Cual es su nacionalidad? Hablas ingles muy bien!
The reason I guessed your ethnicity was "Silvara." Obviously from the Latin root Silvus, meaning forest. Is Silvara straight Spanish, or is it a construct?

Actually, I took the name Silvara from the Dragonlance Chronicles
I am Uruguayan (Uruguay's a small country in South America, only Spanish spoken here). I just happen to be good at it.

Well, as a writer, albeit a bad one, to another writer, most likely alot better than me because I suck and nothing you can say can ever change that so there  , nice job.

You said that you're actual story is alot different than that, but that looks pretty cool for a fight scene. In my opinion though, it's kind of weird using so little dialogue. I know it's not an extremely dramatic scene, but it's almost like you shouldn't even bother with almost 2 lines, just leave it out.

Dude, if I were you I wouldn't take too much stock in what Labyrinthian was saying. Don't think to much about that story and don't start thinking that you should write anything involving violence, it's fantasy. I don't support violence, but there are sure as fuck going to be some pretty bloody scenes in some of my books. Because if a story calls for a fight, it calls for a fight. In the final showdown of the 2 archenemies they can't sit down and talk it over like good little schoolboys just because you have qualms with them drawing swords. It would ruin the book!

Quite right, quite right. I wasn't saying that I shouldn't use violence in my writing. It's an integral part of both fantasy and sci-fi, and that's generally what I write. I was just discussing the deeper psychological and philisophical meanings and motivations behind the violence I use. I'm not going to change the way I write in any way, shape or form. Don't worry about that. And by the way, thanks for the compliment.

Yeah...I happen to be an American who didn't go through the school system and therefore knows geography. I have known the location and correct pronunciation of Uruguay since I was five or so....no offense to those who did go through public school by the way.
