"A woman shoots her husband 3 times. She then proceeds to hold him under water for about 5 minutes. Upon that she hangs him. But her husband is still alive and kicking. How is that possible?

 

She shot him with a camera and he's a monk who can hold his breath indefinitely by slowing his heart rate and metabolism.

Or it was her ex-husband that she killed.

It can't be a tongue, because they have a tendency to go to school with the rest of one's body. It's not like you leave it behind, you know.

Okay, I know the going to school with the body still stands, but, I dunno ... lets say it was a disembodied voice.

Tongues can't speak, by the way. Not on their own. They require help from Mr Velum, the Teeth Family and the Lip twins, not to mention the shady organisation known only as Vocal Cords.
