you CAN get Schreck's in the game, I like it for it's high-rate of fire.... and I spell tyme tyme because I've been doing it for ages, and, other than important school papers, don't bother to fix it. And I dunno about anyone else, but I believe that all one needs Tech-Wise (assuming your not a half-ogre) is a doctorate in GunSmithy, a basic in Explosives (so you can make bullits) and a small stash of coal, carried by Virgil or Magnus. (or whoever you have with you) I currently have 1200 and some-odd bullets, and I still make and buy them at any/all chances... why? because it means I have plenty of bullets, should I ever come across a enemy worth my shells.... btw, does anyone know of a good gunslinging NPC other than Vollinger, that stupid little fellow ran up infront of someone and attacked him with in blade-swinging range... tsk tsk... poor little fellow, parished in the line of duty...

Now would you care to let the rest of us in on how you got the pistol without using a mod, custom background, or other cheat?

    *waits, enraptured*

Anyway, doesn't it do only like 1-6 damage, with 1-3 fatigue? Doesn't that seem a little lacking, regardless of its speed?

I don't learn Gunsmithy. Not worth it. Too many good guns to be stolen or made of found schematics.. Explosives and Electrical, I'd say. The only truly self-sufficient tech disciplines are smithy (for a melee fighter) and electrical (for those who like wasting charges). Explosives is my favourite though- Stun grenades rule, Molotov is an ideal secondary weapon, explosive grenades make damn good barter, and fire obstruction is a way to the Pyro bow, which is the most deadly weapon ever.
Sebastian. He can throw grenades, and you get him very well developed and better equipped than any other follower in the game. He is fast, and, unlike Vollinger, seems to know that guns are RANGED weapons. Franklyn Payne is also a gunslinger, but he has low ST, too weak even for a Looking Glass Rifle. He can only effectively use one-handed guns, like Bronwyck's gun and Droch's Warbringer. He can make healing salves and heal you with them.

P.S. Corsarius, was it you playing Captain Electric? I'm wondering how you put the Healing Jacket to good use. It consumes charges constantly, don't you run out of batteries very quickly?
If there IS a way to use it more wisely, I might fire Jayna and take Loghaire Thunderstone instead- making a huge stash of elixirs first, naturally ;)

But the big question is not which is the best end game gun, but wether the Hand Cannon, Charged Accelerator Gun or the Fine Revolver / Sharp Shooter's Pistol is the best mid game weapon.

I leave out the Mechanized Gun because it is too expensive to feed at lower levels.

In the Unpatched game is there anything better than the LGR with D 40 - 40 & +20 TH?
