Quick question ^_^

He wouldn't join me. ;_; I just reloaded a game and "liberated" the plans for the specs, poked around, found some at the maze and got a pair made. Now I'm stuck in the Dredge, a god awful place. I'm wandering around, very confused and not sure where I'm going at all.

 

I think you should be able to just click on the map icon on the upper left and it'll show you a layout of where you've already been. Explore the places that are still black to see the places in the dredge you haven't been yet. Sooner or later you'll find an exit. Or just retrace your steps the way you came, by looking at the map.

Hope this helps...I know there are a handful of places where the map is not accessible, I don't think the dredge is one of them, though....not sure.

 

Yay! I got through that awful place... I hate dark mines. Yuck! Scary! I'm not claustraphobic, but poking around in a dark, vermin infested mine is not my idea of a good time. Now, for my latest question! LoL! I'm very full of questions. Anyway, how do you get the N'tala amulet off of Myrth without killing him? I "found" the Stillwater giant for him, but I know he has the amulet because I killed him to see what he had (but I reloaded). However, I'm a good character and I don't want my followers to get more angry with me (Chukka got mad when I killed him). Can I get the amulet and return it to the woman healer without killing Myrth?

 

Get yourself some light-fingered gauntlets and any other amulets or rings of silence if you have any. It helps if you've got some good pickpocket and prowl skill as well.

Talk to him so that he turns to you, and then get behind him. Now click prowl and then pickpocket him. Quicksave first! So if it doesn't work, just reload and try again. It also could work if you try while he's sleeping.

Once you click pickpocket on him, it will give you his inventory. Just click on the "body" icon to see the stuff he's wearing, and take the necklace from him. It's always harder to take stuff people are wearing than just taking stuff in normal inventory, that's why I say save first and keep re-trying.

Worse comes to worse, you can use a fate point to steal it.

Another alternative: make your followers wait outside the house and then go in and kill him. Your followers won't get angry because they're outside waiting. Save before you make them wait though, just in case you can't get them to rejoin afterward, then you can just reload.
