    Cerberus doesn't count.....

Dogs are far better. They are far more useful and can perform many functions that cats cannot. The same can be said of cats, but cats aren't friends, just a drain on wildlife and your personal finances.

Anyway, snakes are better than cats at killing rodents. My aunt (who despite living only an hours drive away I haven't seen in nearly a decade, nor do I care to) apparently has a huge fucking python in the attic of her house. So I'd say she doesn't need a cat.

Either that, or she had a cat, and that's how the snake got so big.... :(

    Thank you.

You won't find any seeing-eye-cats helping the blind, now would you, cat lovers? Know why? BECAUSE THEY'D LEAD YOU INTO TRAFFIC JUST TO WATCH YOU DIE.

Don't get me wrong. I do love cats. I've owned cats since I was a kid. They just have this attitude about them, like they're too cool for the room. They'll cuddle with you, but it's because they want to be cuddled and they're permitting you to cuddle them.

Dogs want you to pet them because you are the light of their life, and by you petting them, you validate their whole existance¹.

    ¹existance? existence? spelling... bah

But that's because the average dog has only about 2/3 of the intellegence of a cat, and thus doesn't realise that it is, infact, stupid to do so.

Perhapse. Hmm... kind of a hard trade eh? Lazy, selfish, soft, warm cat vs stupid, slobbery, loyal, loving dog. Depends on YOUR attitude.

    ???

That's not a valid choice for me - I've always had loving, soft, warm, loyal, hardworking and active cats! Mine have to earn their living though, like a farm cat!

Where do you get your cats from??

Plus you forgot the fact that nearly all dogs really SMELL!!!

Ok... the lazy part was from my house cat :) And, yes, I forgot to mention that dogs smell. Oh, yes, and I forgot how cats like to use their owners for scratching posts.

Again, I've never had that problem!

Do people just torture their cats or something when they're kittens and give them wierd attributes? Because I've never had half the problems with cats that apparently most people have!

Every time we went on holiday, she used to try and sneak into the caravan to come with us, and once, when we tried out our new caravan on a local site, she trekked 20 miles, just to give us a mouse!

Tell me a dog that'll do that!

A dog will mourn your death, save your life, and bring you the paper. At the very least. All a cat would do would kill a mouse in celebration, kill a mouse while looking on and kill a mouse while watching you get the paper.

I can live with cats okay, I just prefer dogs. I, for one, don't mind the dog smell, it has never bothered me.

IT wanted to go with you because it wanted some stroking or some good food. Cats are egoistic!

True. True. Plus, I am allergic to all that darn cat hair. They seem to pleasure shedding, dont they?

And, no, I didnt torture my cat. He just was really playful as a kitten.
