Try giving the non shooters Eye Gear, Janya's PE juice, & the LGR. I believe that they will have ~ 30 - 34% TH that way. The Clarington Rifle also resembles a brass reciver Henery.

You can hack their files with the right tool & even write your own leveling schemes for them as well. Trade Vergil's lockpicking & Janya's gambiling for firearms. (What does that girl do in her spare time anyway?)

There are three gunslingers in the game already, how many do you need???
Now if they had higher ST so they could use decent guns...

You're on the money, Jar. The following is a list of games I own and have not completed:

    - Fallout
    - Fallout 2 (Never even installed this one)
    - Arcanum
    - Planescape: Torment
    - Civ 3 (Well, this game isn't RPG, but I still have never "finished" a game)
    - Dungeon Master 2 (This game, I came close. I got to the level next to last)
    - Janes Combat Simulations: F/A 18: The Campaign (I just pissed around on the Single Missions)
    - Operation: Flashpoint

    Games I have completed:

    - Max Payne
    - N.O.L.F. 2: A Spy in H.A.R.M.s Way. (GREAT game.)
    - Medal of Honor (The one where you storm the beaches of Normandy.)
    - Ghost Recon
    - I think I completed the Joan of Arc campaign on Age of Empires II)

Games I have recently purchased on ebay and am in the process of beating:

    - Diablo (This game totally got me wrapped up. I know you hardcore RPG'ers shun what you call "hack and slash" games sold as "RPG's", but this one is FUN. I'm on level 13 after only playing for 2 weeks. I know, I know, most of you punks would've beaten it in 37.5 hours, give or take 2 minutes, but you don't understand. 2 weeks for an RPG "Type Thing" is fast for me. I got 3 levels left to go, and boy am I getting my ass kicked by those damned Blood Knights)

    - Sid Meier's Gettysburg, Antietam, and South Mountain (All on one cd. I've beaten most of all three campaigns. If I'da been in charge, the South woulda won, according to my leet Civil War tactics.)

So, Jar, what does this say about me? I've never really noticed it, but it seems that most of the games that I don't finish are RPG's. It was kinda one of those things that you "know" but it doesn't really stick out in your mind. What do I do? Bury myself in true RPG's, and finish 'em, by golly, or never buy RPG's again? Should I just stick to hack and slash?

You know, I saw Dungeon Seige in Wal-Mart the other day, and I've had a hard-on for that game ever since. I been checking web sites, downloading screen shots..... I think you all know what that behavior leads to.....

Am I cursed to never finish RPG's? Ever? Ever ever ever ever ever?

    Hold me, Jarinor.

Age of Empires II is a good game retard, how do you like it?

Unfortunately, I think I like RPGs a lot better than Strategy games. I'm close to beating the game right now (Arcanum, that is). I'm in Tulla and I'm stuck in a little room and a teleporter in the middle but it doesn't work. I think I will have to reload from when I just arrived at Tulla.

I've tried to get through Dungeon Siege but I can't get past Glitterdelve.

I'm stuck in the City Core on Neverwinter Nights (that I don't like as much as Arcanum, I'd like it a whole lot better if I understood its modding system.)

Don't bother with the single player on NWN, they did not bother putting together a decent game... although the engine is very nice. The modding system is fairly simple, and the most fun part of that game is designing stuff to make a badass character, then playing online in a server called "Planet Majorca"

retard, there are 16 levels in Diablo. You should really be in the low 20's by now when facing the Blood Knights. I did find Diablo, and Diablo 2 very fun, for quite a long period of time. Actually got level 38 with a Sorceror in multiplayer.

Stay the fuck away from Dungeon Siege, it's shit. The game literally plays itself. All it does is look pretty - forget story, interesting combat or anything like that. Everyone I've spoken to says it sucks.

DungeonSiege is like a boring Diablo with 6 characters
Since they auto attack and auto fire their arrows, you can just move them around the area from place to place, and they will kill everything, without you even clicking on baddies.

Diablo had a more personal feel, and was a kick-ass game. I especially love playing the levels at night, in teh dark. Creepy.

What's DungeonMaster? I've played Dungeon Keeper if that's what you mean. It's sweet, but i panned out at the next to last level.

I've never beaten many many games, but all the great ones (like FALLOUT!!!!!!!!!!) i beat.

Of course, if i don't like it, it isn't a great game.

Damn. I don't think my sorcerer is even close to level 20. I'll have to check. I tell you, the Blood knights are doing such a great job of kicking my gluteus maximus that I stopped playing 2 days ago. GASP! C--could it be? Another game, resting on retard's shelf, collecting dust?

I'm just kidding. I'm more hooked on Diablo than I ever was on Fallout. I'll finish it.

Clothos, you were right. I meant Dungeon KEEPER not master.

Oh, and, advice taken on Dungeon Seige.

    ohhhh, Dungeon KEEPER!

A game that consumed my very soul for three years, ahhhh Mentor, the happy times we had together... you with your malice and bitter sarcasm and me with my army of leather-clad mistresses. Hey, I just think I found the point where I became a sexual deviant.

    God bless you, Mr. Freud.

Well, you can start the game over if you want to with that sorceror. You just won't gain much experience for a while, but you should be about level 25, 26 by the time you finish the game. You also really want to get the Warlord of Blood quest, it kicks ass.

Also, sneaky little hint for sorceror, although you should only use it when you've got heaps of mana (I'm talking 500 minimum) and mana shield. Clear out an area of monsters, take off all your armour, cast firewall, and then step into it. Yes, step into it, and stay there, until your hitpoints are lower than your level. It's kind of risky to do, but if you do it, you get instant hit recovery! No more being stunned! Just don't talk to the dude who automatically heals you though...and make sure to keep a shitload of full mana potions with you, to keep that mana shield up, and to keep casting spells.

Also, use a trainer to convert your character to multiplayer, which will, admittedly, change some of your items so that they're totally different (and possibly totally useless), but it does let your perform unlimited Hell runs, which means you can do that Archbishop Lazarus and Diablo quests over and over, and get shitloads of really good items, so it doesn't matter if a ring or two becomes totally fucked does it? Note that when using the trainer you really only need to use it once, but multiplayer is different to single, if you leave stuff on the ground, it will disappear, but you can use the trainer to save items. Also, not all of your items will be corrupted when you make the change, but some will, from memory.

Do you mean a Martini-Henry? (Breech loading rifle our lads had back in 1879.) If so, you're not far off looks-wise with the featurless reciever and cocking handle, but the loading mechanism on the Winchester's far different.

    Regards,
    Morden

Never mind my last, Jar. I played Diablo right after I posted and I'm a level 22, about 8,000 points from 23. I finally got to where I could beat those damn Blood Knights, by casting several fire walls between me and them, and then attacking them with fire wave. Mana-hungry spells, though, so I have to carry a shitload of potions.

About the quests, it seems I didn't get very many at all, at least, not really any of the good ones. (I have the player's guide, it came with the game)

Also, sounds like a neat trick. But, I don't understand how you lower your health like that, if you have mana sheild engaged. Do you mean, let your mana run low, and then your health?

No, just don't have mana shield up.

Also, level Fireball, it's a far better spell than fire wave. Fire wall is handy though, but I also have one tip for you when fighting at the end - take your time, and no matter how much it costs, get yourself some sort of Staff of Apocalypse. Teleport is also very handy for running through a level quickly, though it's mostly used in multiplayer, when you want to get to the later levels in Hell without slogging through everything else.

My first Arcanum character was half-elf female, I think, who was kind of 1/2 tech and half magic.. mostly tech though, but wasn't playing a "theme"character then, just playing the game. Solved it.
2nd character human female, strictly Tech. Solved it again.
Current character male elf with really high persuasion and charisma... wanted to read more dialogue options. Also, he's ostensibly evil, but like Morten I find I have a hard time being truly evil, even in a game. I have to make a concerted efffort...
Other games... recently played "Alice" which is neat in theory, but mostly just hack and slash... some puzzles (think 7th guest) but not much actual strategy, and no role-playing. Didn't quite finish, got annoyed with the last big boss... one of those things where you just have to take the time to hit him enough times and have the patience to restart over and over.
    I've also played 7th guest, I don't think I finished it.
I've solved Tomb Raider I & II... They're pretty linear, and sometimes annoying in that often if you don't find Widget A to fit into Lock B, you're just screwed. It's not like you can go off on another quest and come back later (luckily you CAN boot up another game :))
Black & White...don't even fucking get me started. I SOLVED this game it just never accepted the fact. I must have uninstalled, re-installed, and installed the patch at least 3 times (in varying orders) and it still never let me win, even when the other guy didn't have ANY followers left and shouldn't have had any power... *grumble*
Myst- Solved. Neat. Sometimes annoying, but neat.
Riven- got stuck. Never went back. Neat stories though in both of these.
TES:Redguard - never solved cause I found out I needed the patch when I was like 20 hours into game time and never felt like starting over.
TES: Battlespire - I wrote the book. No, literally. I'm embarrassed, but it's true.
Myth: The Fallen Lords-- Has anyone else played this? It's an old game, I picked it up a couple of years ago in the cheap-o bundle at Best Buy. I love the chatter of the troops. 8)
    "We're Moving"
    "Ooooh that's gotta hurt"
Those are all the ones I can see sitting on my desk shelf from here.
    Oh, almost forgot:
Currently playing NeverWinter Nights. I don't hate it. Patch it first though. Goddamn werewolves don't work otherwise. Don't know that they DO with the patch but hey... Ummm... Not the best RPG I've ever played, but not the worst either. I don't like the fact that you can only have one NPC. Since my character is a thief though, I just chose Daelann Red Tiger who's a badass barbarian, and now the game is basically easy. I guess I should kick the "difficulty" up to hard or something, But I think at this point I just want to finish it. IT has a story... kinda... Not enough that I'll defend it to the very last, and I don't know that I'll play it another time like I will Arcanum, but since I got it as a present (therefore, for free), I feel I've got my money's worth ;)
And it's no more a waste of my time than readin/postin in this forum ;)
