I'm not in the "metalcore culture." I just listen to the music, I don't follow the bands and all that nonsense. And I'm sure as hell not a vegan. I love my meat. The fresher, the better.

It's a quote from Pulp Fiction. You appear to know squat about great quotes from great movies. I feel sad for your children, not only because of their crappy names, but also because their father will not be able to give them good answers when they ask about really good old movies in 10 years time.

I'm not racist, but I think Pulp Fiction is an awsome movie.

I'm not racist, but Quentin Tarentino is a demigod. Kill Bill 2 is coming out soon, baby!

I'm not racist, but I have to wait until I can rent Kill Biil Vol. 1 because it's rated R, and I wasn't old enought to see it at the cinema. And that shits me...

I'm not racist but wolf is a little baby.

Now you all know I'm not Hindu, and I love cows (especially cows) but "From Dusk till Dawn" was probably the stupidest movie I've ever seen. If there is any proof that Quentin Tarantino is not a demigod it is that movie.

Besides, Martin Scorsese whipes his ass with Quentin Tarantino's scripts. When it comes to cinematic blood baths there is no better director. Go watch Taxi Driver, GoodFellas, and Casino, and then get back to me.

I'm not saying that Pulp Fiction is a bad movie, but Kill Bill is definitly not a great one when compared to Scorsese's movies.

As an action flick, "From Dusk Till Dawn" kicks the ass of anything Scorsese has ever made. Scorsese tends to make movies with a bit more substance than "Vampires + Mexico + George Clooney + Juliette Lewis = Bloodbath + $$$". I love FDTD, but only as an action movie. I personally think Scorsese is overrated as a director (i.e. a myth of his ability has been built up around him) but that's not to say he's crap. He is pretty good, just not as good as you'd have us believe.

I've seen all 3, and yeah, there's some really good and disturbing scenes in them (especially that baseball bat scene in Casino) but those movies are more about the characters and storyline than the amount of blood and guts you can cram into a single movie. I still haven't gotten around to seeing Kill Bill yet, so I'm hoping Vol 1 is released before the second movie, so I can go see Vol 2 with all my friends.

Then what are you saying about Pulp Fiction? It was one of the best things to come out of the 1990's. All I got out of this last paragraph was that Kill Bill sucks when compared to Scorsese's work.

Mmmmmmm, Ok, sorry about the last confusing paragraph. I havent seen kill bill yet, but I assume its mostly a big beautiful throw-away blood bath. Pulp Fiction, on the other hand, is sort of a misnomer compared to most of what hollywood has to offer us.

Anyway, I always thought that the deep characters Scorsese always portrays sort of make it a lot more meaningful when one of them dies you know? Its not just some throw away stuntman in a ninja suit, its not Joe Pescie getting shot in the head, its a character we've all become sort of attached to through a previous hour and a half of loveable acts of random violence. The baseball bat scene made me cry, because I knew that no one else in he movie, from that point on, was going to be stabbed in the neck with a ball point pen...

Although Kill Bill will never go down in movie history as "Greatest Film Ever" it was a fucking cool movie. The very begining starts out with a knife fight between two assassins; one who's now a mother/housewife, in the suburbs. After that it's nothing but non-stop blood shed. All the stupid parents who brought their children into the theater left. Later on in the movie it switches to Anime which was very gory. At at the end battle Ulma Thermen fights over 50 yakuza henchmen with old school japanese filming techniques. That was one of the bloodiest scenes ever in a movie. If you can find anything bloodyer than that please tell me so I can go rent it. But definetly watch Kill Bill.

If this is a joke, good for you, you made me laugh.

If this is serious... then you might be in the wrong forum. Go hit up some postal 2 forums if you want to preach anti-violence.

    jar jar said:
for one jar: you are australian, so what the hell do really know bout good classic movies anyway!?!?!?!

perhaps what you THINK is completely different from that of most people. adn if you truly feel sorry for my children adn what they will supposedly grow up knowing or not knowing then why dont you raise them??? it sure seems that you could a much better job than I the way you seem to know everything about!!!

what you THINK are good movies or classics are just that: what you think!!! your opinion is based on your upbringing, your life experiences, what your parents may or maynot have taught you, what you were or were not exposed to in school, things that you may or may not have seen on tv, heard on the radio, or seen in movies. the way you have chosen to live your life and the things you have chosen to do or not have shaped your OPINION of what a good movie, game, show, etc. is. but it is only your opinion and your opinion aint worth the breath it costs to utter.

so when you can not flame someone for a simple statement then try talkin to me. I hope you are not what you are in here in real life!! I will admit that you know things about certian subjects, but never try to question my parenting, you are not me, have not lived my life, and do not know how I choose to parent my children. you dont have to like the names I choose for children, no one said you did. I not need shit from you about the names. it is your opinion and no one asked you for it!!!

btw - who said I didnt know that that quote was from PF?? I certainly did not in my post, and nothing alluded to wether I did or did not. so keep your opinions unless asked for them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    1. I took a Film History class at uni. Doesn't make me an expert, but I did get to see some classic films. I'm also a bit of a movie buff - I don't collect movies, but I do my best to see most of the movies that are recommended by people at large (I particularly like film noir. Double Indemnity is a great movie). I don't just walk into a video store and pick shit up at random, I talk to people about what movies are good, then I go hunt them down.

    2. What the fuck does me living in Australia have to do with it? Last I checked, I spoke English as well, and movies from many countries around the world - including the USA - are still released at the cinemas here. I don't like you implying that because I live in Australia we somehow lack things like electricity, running water and classic movies.

    It depends on the topic.

Because I don't want to burden myself with you and your wife's genetic experiments. I have high standards, and someone who misspells "and" several times in the one paragraph is obviously inferior to me, therefore I don't have high hopes for their offspring. That said, a genius could still be lurking in there, but the odds are pretty damn low.

Thank you for defining opinion for me. The dictionary really had me confused about exactly what it was, so I'm glad you cleared it up for me.

Then by that same token yours is equally worthless, so you really can't have any objection to me ignoring it can you?

Here's the funny thing - I didn't flame you, and I intended for the post to be humourous. You're the one making an issue out of all this.

I try to be as big a bastard possible every day. Unfortunately, eroding years of good parenting is hard. I'm persevering though.

So apart from the whole "They're my kids, not yours" argument, why shouldn't your parenting techniques be questioned? If everyone took that attitude to everything in life, it would be complete and utter chaos, because hey, my decision to shoot everyone I hate shouldn't be questioned.

Actually you did ask for our suggestions (and by extension our opinions) in your baby names thread, so you DID ask for my opinion. Even if you didn't however, what the fuck makes you think I care whether or not my opinion is wanted?

You may not have said you didn't know where it was from, but if you've seen Pulp Fiction, you KNOW it's funny. If you did know it was from PF, then I really don't know what prompted you to make such a pointless comment in the first place. The only reason I could think of for the comment was that you didn't know where it was from, so maybe I assumed too much. If I didn't though, you spammed, which in my Big Guide to Being an Administrator is a far worse sin.

Also, see my above comments for how little I care about your opinion that I should keep my opinion to myself unless asked.

Listen to Sea Dog - lighten up man.

Plus RPjunkie, it's my job to say stupid stereo typical joke about Australia.

Well what did you expect when you made fun of RPs children, that he laugh and tell his kids that their names are indeed funny sounding. RP got just as mad as you when I say something stupid about Australia like," I heard 75% of all Australian baby's are eaten by Dingo's." RPs just as proud of his children as you are of your country.

And RP. You should know by now that Jar has a cynical sense of humor. Like he said, he's a bastard. How many times has he called me a dipshit/shitfucker/deadshit or whatever. If anyone else in life called me that I'd kill them, but with Jar I just think,"Oh, Jar you silly rascal you."
