Dark, how can you speak such things about Green Day! Although yea, they did slump alot for awhile. I like American Idiot alot though, the album, not the song in particular. There were a few years they were all cloudy and shit, but they really came back old school and hardcore, like Will Ferrell in a german porno.

I don't like Green Day. In Sweden, we have but one word for the likes of them: Fjortis.
In english, I'd say wannabe or bimbo.

I go with Sofokl on this one. Punk's just not for me. And even if Green Day's not, I don't like them either.

 

Well there you go. Don't like punk, don't like Green Day. They aren't real punk, like the Sex Pistols or anything, they're like a cross between Punk and Nirvana.

 

American Idiot was a <i>decent</i> cd at best, and the same with Feel Good Inc. M1 A1 and Left Hand Suzuki Method are my two favorite songs. American Idiot and Feel Good Inc were good cds, but they weren't up to par with some the earlier works of these bands. It's like the difference between a 1969 Charger and a 1973. The 1973 is still a pretty nice car, but it'sn't half as nice of one as a 69.

 

Well, what exactly out of the new age WOULD you say compares to Dookie? There's a level I've seen in newer music; say post-1985. Dookie is at the top of that level. In order to get better than old school Green Day, Primus, and old school System, you need to throw it back to The Wall, The Beatles, The Doors.
