So Ive brought another computer and Installed Arcanum on it everything went fine until I installed an update for Nividia geforce 405 , the screen started to go black and the game just gets stuck with the sound. although It starts fine after an hour or so of playing this seems to happen . and yes I'm and administrater and am running it with compatibility but I have to admit that Ididn't specify a resolution for the game to play . so please any help?

Arcanum runs in 800*600, but Drog's Hi-res patch can handle any resolution you might want to use. However, I ran into an interestingly similar problem after I updated the driver for my graphics card when I tried playing Fallout. If the game still won't play at 800*600, try rolling back your video driver. If it's more complicated than that, I don't know what to do.

What exactly do you mean by rolling back?

Uninstall the update you just downloaded so the driver works with Arcanum. New graphics cards are pretty damn awesome, but awesome old games don't always work with awesome new cards.
