Getting to the wheel clan?

Well, I just left the isle of despair and I didn't get the magic glasses from the dwarf.

Now when I go to the 'wheel clan' location on my map, all there is is a little platform... I have NO clue how do get in... any suggestions?

Btw, i'm playing a unpatched game...


(And a side note that I don't think deserved its own thread, if you put dread armor on Gar, his skin color changes from green to blue...)

There's and optician in Ashbury he'll make those glasses for you if you provide him with kathorn krystal and 1000 gold. His shop is near the docks.

That's because there are many ways to obtain these glasses. You can:

Get them from Thorvald (kill, steal, persuade)
Have Thorvald join you
Get key to Thorvald's chest - there's a schematic inside
And finally the optician.
