I'd imagine pestering Drog is like poking a sleeping grizzly, good luck moonlight.

I think it's a variant of Hellgate, where rather than just summoning a demon as is, you summon it within another being or object, essentially binding the demon to it (which, in my opinion, is how at least some of the hexed items came to be). Tarant's king summoned L'anamelach within his own body and once the demon was loose, Vincent re-summoned it within himself.

It certainly isn't any >5 lvl magick, seeing how L'anamelach was summoned about 150 years after the History and Nature of Magick was written.

Ah , a cool analysis I do like your way of thinking muro. By the way if we had the spell list to 8 spells , what spells would you like to play with?

Ive played the Hellgate mode and I must say you might be correct on this, the wizard was summoning demons by sucking the life force of the villagers , do you think this is some sort of variation?

I'm not sure I would really want to have access to that kind of magick. Games have a tendency to stop being interesting when the player becomes an overpowered demigod, and that's possible in Arcanum even without the lost top tier spells.

Haven't played the Hellgate module, so I don't have an opinion on the magicks within yet.

The case is different if being an omnipotent being is the point from the very beginning, yes, though even a god game gets dull with god mode.

It's been a decade of Arcanum. In computer game years that's like two ice ages!

The question is not: Will we be as gods in the land of arcanum? But: How awesome shall we be as gods?

Let there be level eight spells for all.

Yes I would love these spells , also in the time mode , there was spell which could travel between time, and Im sure that its temporal college because of the effects what do you think?

yes I want this to be true, imagine if there are 8 spells for every college what do you think they will be?

I think the last level of earth would allow you to move continents around, the last level of phantasm would allow you to make a whole city invisible, the last level of mental would allow you to establish a hive mind with thousands of people with you as the controller... that sort of thing.

I think the last level of necromantic black is extinguishing all life as envisaged if you side with Kerghan at the end of the game.

Yes but why not creating a city out of illusion, like illusional maze beneath tulla? I imagine the last spells would be what these magicks represent .

Composing another 48 spells would be fun.

Personally, I always wanted teleport anywhere, irrespective of map markings.

    Level six conveyance?

1- Conveyance: cast your mind to somewhere as Kan Hua said and banishment.

2- Divine : soothsaying maybe or seeing the gods themselves.

3- Meta : despelling these spells or stealing spells from mages could be fine.

4- Morph : transforming the mage to anything he wishes.

5- Air : flying through the wind and creating storms.

6- Earth : creating earthquakes seems fine to me.

    7- Water : creating floods.

8- Fire: creating volcanos or molten gaints, also the eternal flame spell.

9- necromantic black : kerghans spells maybe.

    10- necromantic white : mass ressurection .

    11- Nature : no idea.

12- Summoning : again no idea.

13- Force : mass disintegration maybe.

    14- Temporal : time travel.

15- Mental : read minds or something like that

    16- Phantasim : see above.

whoo thats all folks , what do you think , any ideas?
