It's a lot more valuable than the US dollar.
And it's so much more valuable than the Krona.
If you can't see that all of Europe would benefit from having the same currency, then you suck too much to register on the suck scale.

What's wrong with D-Mark, what's wrong with Peso, what's wrong with Franc? See, by removing the currency, you also remove a little bit of sovereignty.

Their value is what's wrong. The hassle of conversion is what's wrong.
Europe is the largest economical power in the world, so having a continental currency is much more logical than having a single currency for every single country.
In the US, before we became...well, the US, every state was its own country, in all respects but population. Currency was printed in each seperate state, and it had different values depending on the economy of the area. It didn't work. Now, every state is still its own sovereign entity, with its own seperate governmental system that has its own laws and will interpret the Constituation differently, but we all owe allegiance to our central government. Granted, Europe is much older than the US by hundreds of years. However, the same thing is happenning over there. The same currency is being printed practically everywhere, and someone Europe can say, "Oh, I'm European. But, I'm from France."
Just like someone in the US can say, "Oh, I'm American. But, I'm from Ohio."
Lay back and accept it. Just like you lay down and accept the sexual advances of your superiors at the hospital.

Who gives a shit about sovereignty when it comes to currency?
And why on earth should we have all these fucking different ones?
I mean wouldn't it be nice to go on a vacation without having to exchange?
As I see it, we should go for one currency world wide (of course my opinion doesn't count for shit, but meh), it's been done before (gold) and it worked pretty well.

Sweden wouldn't benefit from changing currency to Euro. We have too high loans from other European countries, and our dept to the world bank is HUGE. But not only that: We would be used as resource for giving money to poorer countries. And, with our quite unstable economy, we wouldn't be able to tackle that. If we had a say about things in Europe, I'd say let's change this instant. But we don't, 'cause there's so few of us that even London beats us in population. That's why we're not changing our currency.

And the Krona... C'mon, it haven't been around for that long... Less than a hundred years, really.

Actually, the word "träl" translates rather conveniently to "thrall" in English. :)

... probably because we brought the word there in the first place, coming to think of it.
