I've experienced the Evil Virgil the Dumbass. But have you noticed how his mood swings? I had to hit him with the Helm quite a few times to make himn thoroughly evil, and still he fluctuates. He's schizophrenic.

Making him evil through your actions is much better. I'm betting you played as a good character, but made him evil? That would explain the schizophrenia...

No, I played as an evil character masquerading as a good character.
I completed quests and then killed my benefactors. Eventually Virgil turned to the dark side (with the hellp of the Helm) and Sogg was an easy convert. Dog didn't care as long as he got his Alpo. Magnus tried to leave but I killed him and stole his gauntlets. Jayna hit the road and someday I'll rub her out, too.

See, that's your problem. Doing the quests gives you more alignment than killing the people. You want to take a big alignment hit, do the King Farad assassination quest. That is bloody hard, I'll tell you now though. Don't expect to be able to walk the streets of Caladon freely either after you do that .

    *SPOILERS*

If you actually follow the evil main plot, then go find Nasrudin, he won't give you his quest unless you go kill the Bogorath (which is a really easy kill as well), and it gives you +50 alignment!!! Although, it's interesting, I now have to go retrieve the Vendigroth Device, and meet both Nasrudin and K'an Hua at the Ring of Brodgar. It shall be interesting  I have backed up my game before accepting Nasrudin's quest though, in case nothing happens.

gee, thats quite a happy story. maybe virgil aquires a special ability at some part of the game, a special spell called wall polymorph?
or maybe he turns in to the AD&D creature called the "living wall" it's pretty nasty

    LMAO.
Virgil doesn't actually turn into a wall in the middle of a room. He kind of blends into an existing wall, and when you try to talk to him, or issue commands like "wait", text says "wall wait" or "wall stay close".
Thanks for the info, Jarinor. I haven't done the Evil Quest yet, but someday...

I have more information regarding my encounter with K'an Hua and Nasrudin -

    *SPOILERS*

Once I retrieved the Vendigroth Device, I went to meet K'an Hua at the Ring of Brodgar. He was dead. Nasrudin had killed him. Which leads me to wonder - if I hadn't talked to Nasrudin, would K'an Hua still be dead at the Ring of Brodgar? I'll have to go see...I will get back to you all with this information . Oh, if you kill Loghaire ThunderStone and Randver, then instead of getting the "Loghaire returned to lead the Wheel Clan" or "Loghaire never returned" you get the "Magnus becomes King of the Dwarves after leading the Iron Clan, and uniting all the clans" ending, even if you never brought Magnus to the Iron Clan or had him as a follower...which I suppose makes sense - he eventually found his lost clan .

btw how can u convince gnome or was it a halfling to give u the glass key, killed him twice

Talk to him when you return from the Isle of Despair.
