That is just what I mean. What you said is only a small part of what they Japaness have done.
It seems no meaning discussing is here, but I want to say the Japaness are using these, the cool images, the hot girls, the shock of finding characters quite different from what you think they should be, they just use these to attract people's attention, and they are so successful, now.
Looking back to Arcanum,so real,no cool picture or sexpot ,it is the origin form of RPG.But such real RPG is falling,TROIKA and BI are only some of the victim,PC RPG is dying because of the taste of players has changed.

I don't like japanese rpgs too. It is too tale-like.
My first encounter with japanese rpg was when I first saw RPG Maker and a game made with it, and my first thought was: "What the fuck is this?"

i like the stories behind most Japanese rpgs (what i can understand, at any rate) but the graphics often throw me for a loop. they can be pretty cartoony, probably because of the abundance of anime in their culture. don't get me wrong, i love anime, but it'd be nice if they tried a different style of graphics once in a while.

The Japanese make better RPGs than most Americans, though. Look at the early Phantasy Star games! (Oh, Alys, you rocked...)

I got a major Koei up-fuck. What the HELL did they do with the Qiao sisters?? Eh? *grumble* About the only characters they stayed true to were Lu Bu (eeeek!), Liu Bei and Zhao Yun. And I use the word 'true' loosely.

... If I knew anything about this, I'd probably say "Yeah! What the hell did they do? Bastards!", but I don't, so I'll just shut my mouth...

No,I never hate Jgames, in fact I really think they are better at telling stories and getting us into them. But I fell deeply sad about the weatern PCRPG, for the feeling given by them can never be replaced by any Jgame and they are just dying, not exist any more.
Recently I've played Dungeon Siege2, I admit is is a good game, but I hate it. It's too diablo like. Now I think Diablo, though brought many new things to RPG, in fact punched a dagger into the heart of all classic RPGs.
Well I don't know what I really want to say. Do I love Jgames? Yes I do,their thoughts are near we Chinese so we can easily accept them. Do I like Diablo like? Yes I do,they are so easy to play, you needn't plan much things just hack & slash and wait for the right equipment to come. But DO ALL THESE MEAN THE REAL CLASSIC RPG IS NO LONGER NEEDED? OR DO THEY HAVE TO CHANGE? I've no idea.

I have a tip for your grammar, Madlax: There's suppose dto be some space after every stop. Example:
Hi. My name is Wolfsbane. How do you do?

    Contra:

Hi.My name is Wolfsbane. How do you do?

I have a tip for you Wolfsbane: It's spelled "to", not "dto". Now you know.

if you're going to pick at someone's grammer, you have to be prepared to be picked at yourself. hence the reason i don't give anybody shit about punctuation and capitalization...

I didn't flame him or anuthing like that. I just gave him a hint to write better. Vyenna's little complaint was common bullshit written here just because of the fact that she dislikes me.
