Though I have to agree with Retard on the whole overblowing of the "American is fat" BS. I'd say in my school about one of every fifteen to twenty people you see may be slightly overweight. And then you have your occasional 300 lbs + kid. Ditto with the mall thing, unless you tally around the foodcourt, you're not going to see that many overweight people.

Technically, I'm fat. I actually AM fat. But all I know, is the doctor said that I should be 160-170 pounds, and if I was ever that skinny, I would snap in half. I might be 50 pounds oveweight, but dude, I'm a fucking football player! I have muscles...somewhere...that account for it. Oh and I'm a liberal, the complete opposite of a republican, so your all liberals are skiny vegetarians, and all conservatives are meat-loving fat asses idea is complete BS. Retard is right, cash buys face time. The players of that game call it access, & think of it as all right. But that means that those without $s have no access. No access = no voice.

Those campagin contributions do go to candidates who's views have been vetted. No one changes his mind because of cash, but a free weekend in the Bahamas gives the ticket buyer a lot of face time. And that face time can sway a decision that has not yet been made.

And think of the coralary. Those with ideas opposed to those of the people with the cash can't get those fat $2,000 checks. How many politicans are you writing those fat $2,000 checks to? They can't buy the air time to express those vievs without that money. Remember, the free press wether it is too liberal or too conservative not only isn't free, it ain't even cheap.

I'm a liberal, which has been numerously stated, I know, but honestly, I agree with Retard, I'm against political correctness. Also this profiling thing. I'm a little iffy on it, I don't think it's right that the cops just arrest every Mexican, but if they get information that the Mexicans are running drugs through Brooklyn, I wouldn't expect them to be looking at every race equally.

And also, what's with this thing where a cop can only shoot you are the same race as him? If you jump out of the shadows and shoot at a white cop, and you get shot, if you're white the cop gets a medal and a pat on the back. But if you're black, he's labelled a rascist and they try and arrest him.

Affirmative action is COMPLETE BS. I think colleges shouldn't even LOOK at your race to determine admissions. Yea, fine, a diverse class is great, but if only 4 black kids have the grades to get into Harvard, only 4 black kids have the grades to get in. It's not the poor white kid's fault that more blacks didn't do as well! So why reverse discriminate. Martin Luther King didn't fight so hard for equality so we could end up not being equal anyway!

Yea, Shady, I don't doubt that there are some truly altruistic senators and representatives. What I do doubt is that they are anything but a small minority. IMHO, most of Congress is corrupt. 10 guys like us can sit down and discuss things rationally, and about 100 others are only worried about pleasing the corporations that back them.

DU, come on, the congressman might have steadily voted on that issue for a long time, but how long has he been backed by those companies. On that particular issue he has been stable, but the corporations have been stable in their donations as well.

Dude, the democracy we have isn't that good. It's to...undemocratic, and to democratic at the same time. Freedom of the press is great. But why is exactly is CNN showing tracking of our troop locations on the air. You think that might sort of go against our national interests, wouldn't you? Matt, the government has never wised up, and sadly will most likely NEVER wise up, because it is run by far less intelligent people than us. Im 127.5 Pounds (after I just weighed myself) and thats all because I have an extremely high motabolisim and to tell you the truth I would love to be bigger or "Fat" as you call it but, im stuck with this till im really old and I mean Really old!!! (like 30) If you guys think its fat people who have problems well your wrong... I grew up in a Big family imagined seeing a mother face ater finding out her child was the size of her arm and was under wieght (yes im tall 7'6) it was horrible growing up being picked on and then you have to find somewhere it still happens even at 24!!! My god most adults in america are still kids!!! (but with bigger I.Q.s sorta) Its like you all are in school still (which I don't doubt you are) and making fun of the fat kids or the foriegn kids cause they're different.

Doesn't mean I mind, though. Although this thread was made a sticky, so perhaps the original topic was important for some reason... :/

 

The original topic was about how the regulars shouldn't be pricks to n00bs.

The problem with staying on topic is that most things are related. There are reasons that the regulars are mean to n00bs. So those reasons are delved into. Then the mitigating circumstances are discussed. This continues, ad infinitum. Eventually, the topic goes from being nice to n00bs, to my beer pong experiences, to the government, which seems to be one of the popular locations for threads to wind up at for at least a short time, being that the US government is sadly one of the most cracked, pos, shoddy institutions in the world. The framework of the nation is SO great, but something is lost in translation. It's like communism, on paper it look fantastic, but both systems inherently revolve around a majority of people being aat least reasonably intelligent, a tall order in the modern US.
