Actually, he isn't giving the time for Satan and the angels to get back, they had their chance and they blew it, the extra time if for us humans to get back to Jesus/God.

Satan and his angels know they are going to get thrown into Hell, but they don't want to go alone, so they are tempting us to sin and trying to drag us down with them. Misery loves company.

Actually, for once I found it pretty easy to understand what Charles is saying. He's talking about the earlier part in the thread when we were debating the length of time humans lived in the Bible era.

Basically, he's talking about implied measurements - if a bunch of people are discussing speed limits, you don't need to say that you're talking about mph or km/h or whatever - it's understood. Charles is saying the same thing with regards to the Bible - he believes they used implied measurements of time, which were translated incorrectly. 800 years wasn't 800 years, but 800 lunar months (according to some scholars Charles knows of).

 

Fair enough, Jar. But why did he quote *me* before saying it, instead of quoting someone involved in that coversation about length of time, etc?

The way it seemed was: here I was asking for a step back from this debate about minutia, and then Charles quotes me, and follows it with a flurry of minutiae.

Qilkatal, at some point or another, you've sinned, according to the Bible. You may not be evil, but you've sinned. You can't really sin until you have coherent, cognitive thoughts, so it's not really fair to ask the question do babies go to heaven or hell?

After all, everyone knows that vampires take their blood to bathe in (being that they ARE virgins) to promote their youthful good looks.

 

Ok, if you can say you've never done anything wrong, then can you say you've never made anyone sad, angry or the likes? You've never, ever hurt someone, mentally or physically?

Nonono. I was asking YOU if i have done evil not wrong. Are you saying that a person that has made other sad angry or the likes is an evil person? When a person gives birth they often suffer from mental problems afterwards. Does that makes the father evil or the baby?
As i see it that there is a HUGE difference between wrong and evil.
