Yep, just sell the eye gear back to the technologist after you buy the spectacles and pocketwatch parts to make it with. You can get at least 2,000 coins for the eye gear, higher with the Haggle skill.

 

Plus, a good way to make money if youre a magick charachter is the magic shop in tarant, steal the key offa the merchants(if you suck at pickpocketing, don't do it to the elf shopkeeper) and break into the chest that isn't guarded by the baleful hound(which is the elf shopkeepers chest) keep taking out the scrolls whenever convenient, and you can sell out all the merchants in town, repeat steps 4 thru 6 until filthy rich, or until desired amount is fulfilled...I guess being a good theif helps, no unlocking cantrip, that bad.
