<a href="http://vnboards.ign.com/Bloodlines_Inn/b22439/63851789/?0">Here it is</a>:<blockquote> 1. Will there be a Background system in play for character creation?

Yes, we have a background system in place in which the player can choose
a "history" for his character, which gives his character some bonuses as
well as some negatives. For instance, in choosing a certain background
you may get extra points in a stat or two but be restricted to only
raising another stat to a certain level. We're tailoring this background
system to our game, so while you may recognize some backgrounds from
Vampire: The Masquerade, others will be new.

    2. Can we jump in vampire, and will the jump length be affected by the
strength of the character ( I can envision vampires running over the
roofs of buildings, in a cool chasing scene par example)?

Yes, your jump is affected by the strength and athletics ratings of your
    character.</blockquote>
    Don't say much, do they?

    HmmmmmMMMMMmmmmmm...

The background thing sounds a lot like the various "signs" you could have been born under in Morrowind, and the jump issue sounds like it was resolved in a pretty Morrowindish way as well...

I really hope they didn't steal the player to npc dialogue philosophy as well...

The backgrounds are in the original WhiteWolf tabletop game, first published more than 10 years ago. Also, in tabletop, if you want to perform a feat of athletic strength, you roll strength+athletics. I'd say, if anything, Morrowind took from Vampire, not the other way around.

Don't worry. Just take a peak at the Features section at the official homepage and feel releaved. It looks nothing like Morrowinds dialogue system, and we should be thankful for that.

As for the features mentioned, it seems like the best way to solve those issues, Morrowind-ish or not.

I must say, I look forward to performing huge leaps, with the added bonus of landing on people and crushing them. I could leap in Morrowind, but couldn't crush the insolent masses when I landed on them, which really pissed me off - what sort of game allows you to take damage from falling, but not damage others in the same fall? If Vampire allows me to do this, I'll be stoked.

Thats classic, seriously, funniest thing I've read all week. To bad there were never really enough people in one spot to consider them a mass...

    On that note.
I hope Bloodlines is more populated than Morrowind... or at least more densely populated. I mean, if I walk into a night club, it should have at least 20 people on the dance floor and the bar should be crowded. I mean, its the brand new space age Half-life 2 engine we're talking about right? It should be able to handle a few large crowds.
