    I think the endings to 1984 (book and movie) were brilliant. I won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't read/seen it.

    Write everything in one post Settler! Or edit one for fuck's sake! Jeez, few things piss me off as much as seeing one guy post three 2 liner posts in a row. All the in the space of a few minutes.

    Yes, 1984 is good, but ultimately quite depressing I found. I thought that Brave New World was better. Maybe not quite as overtly bleak, but still a better book in my opinion.

    Yeah, I agree about 1984 - it really went nowhere in the second half, apart from the torture and the last chapter. I haven't read A Brave New World.

    It's not A Brave New World. It's just Brave New World by Aldous Huxley. Really good, instead of trying to teach everyone what is right and wrong, they divide everyone up and use varying degrees of aversion therapy.
