Today was very lively on the boards. I haven't seen it this lively in a long time.

We've got some new regulars that we thieved from DoA. People like Skie and Dragoon and Nicebrain have come back. Threads are moving fast just like they used to, with lots of people contributing.

Could this be another Golden Age for the House of Lords?

You played civ for to long...Or did I?
Anyway, I was quite unaware that the regulars of TA KEPT on posting on DoA, I thought it was just a one night stand, I was wrong...
I guess after a long brake, people have fresh new ideas, a sort of "second wind".

DoA isn't a bad board. It's just scary, different, and wrong. Things work differently over there. It's disorientating. It's like a bizarro TA where everything is sorta the same, but just different enough to be unsettling and vaguely frightening. Codes work differently, the smilies are different...

    MOMMY I'M SCARED

TA is like a comfortable pair of shoes. The DoAers will come to TA to check out the scene. They'll stay for the legroom.

The only thing they have over this forum is they have a cool abbreviation for their members. "DoAers" sounds all hardcore and shit. "HoLers" sounds like some derogatory term for "prostitutes".

    Shutup you HoLer you.....

How about, "Lords"? This is a House of Lords, doesn't that make us all Lords then?

Although, this is a "House", so how about "Homies"? Yeah.... I thought that one sucked too....

Don't get all HoLer than thou now, people.

All we need now is for someone to dig up Wump and Quethim. Quethim could tell us why Arcanum needs horses, and Wump could tell Sheriff Fatman to go find a creche thread to whine in.

BTW, what the hell is a "creche"?

Oh yeah, and friend_al could drop in with a few "?" and ":)" replies.

Thanks for clearing that up. I was thinking that was the brown thing that I just gave birth to in the toilet.

From now on, we shall call those times: The OLD days. (Well, at least until someone comes up with a better name for them). We shall speak not of "The OLD days" for they are from times gone by.

    -----------------
    Main Entry: crèche
    Pronunciation: 'kresh, 'krAsh
    Function: noun
Etymology: French, from Old French creche manger, crib, of Germanic origin; akin to Old High German krippa manger -- more at CRIB
    Date: 1792
1 : a representation of the Nativity scene
    2 : DAY NURSERY
    3 : a foundling hospital
    ------------------

Ah yes, just like the old days: several speculative/incorrect posts on the meaning of a word without anyone hitting the (in this case) 8 keys necessary to find out the truth.

Feels like home. If only Wump or Eros would swing by to call me Sheriff Fatass ...
