About the Spam

So, in my mild, lazy efforts to remedy the fact I keep having to ban users, I've taken to banning IP ranges. If you find yourself inability to log in, you're probably in one of those banned ranges. I would suggest moving to a different country, if that's the case.

Is this in reference to the fact that the person who once had half a continent banned to remove him is now removing countries from access?


Actually, Drog hasn't ever logged in from any of the IP ranges that I banned, as best as I noticed. Plus I told him this was coming a few days ago. And I didn't completely ban China. I just banned the two ranges that we've had spam bots from.

I agree DE, that is some delicious irony.

The funny thing about Darkfool doing this is that there are maybe, say, 2-3 active people still around that were here for that shit. I think I started lurking a half year or so after it all went down.

This is one of the only forums I go to that makes me feel old and I'm not even remotely close to being one of the "old guard."

PS If I ever become banned I'll be sure to post and let you know to remove the offending IPs!!!
