There are a number of different ways to attack in Arcanum - swords, bows, guns, grenades, build able minions, spells from different magics etc. What I want to know is: Which of these methods is worth combining? E.g. If you went an archer, would it be worth spending the points to go melee? Would there be enough situations where you are better off throwing some grenades and then using another attack type over solely just using that other attack type?
Sounds cool, I can imagine how stunning would be useful. Would it also be worth combining pure attack forms? Like guns and swords or bows and straight damage spells?
From a powergaming perspective I suppose the best way of doing it is combine attack forms that rely on the same attribute. DX affects stuff like Melee, Dodge, Backstab and Throw, so you can't really go wrong combining those.
I've combined melee and dodge myself, but haven't tried backstab or throw yet. Might give it a go. Thanks for the advice Dark Elf!
Sounds intriguing. On a vaguely related note, boomerangs and massive dex are similar. Well, in my module when I was testing it months ago anyway - tried to go pure throwing and discovered none of the enemies could catch up to me - nor did the boomerang take durability damage (which it should have I think, not sure how to change that).
