Creating a new character, Help! please?

ofcourse, who doesn't have Harm?! (as a mage, ofcourse)

I don't know about lvl 40 monsters, but this far I clean every place I visit, after the first steps.
I don't need to do anything, my followers do everything for me...well, almost everything.

I made a mage with harm and 1 throwing. Played a bit then realised this char will never need the harm spell. So I remade another char without the point in harm spell and it's the 1st character I finish the game with.

ok toalked to the boatseller before and he said that I should come back later...
Now I need to get to thanathos and I need that boat, but all I can say to him is hello and goodbye! what this for nonsense?! and if it can't be repared, I am supposed to be able to get stringy pete's boat, but where is he?

 

That's odd. you should be able to buy the boat when the plotline rolls around to Thanatos. Hang out in the bar & talk to Teach who will bw there if you didn't kill him. He tells you the options on aquiring a boat. That may be the trigger. If you killed him, there is an old sea dog hanging around who will spill all if you get him drunk.
