Beer has been made for thousands of years. Now, it seems there are thousands of varieties. I started this thread to honor those beers that are too good to chug, and almost too good to use simply for the fact that drinking gets you drunk. Beer can be considered liquid bread, and beers are as diverse as the people producing them. I enjoy microbrews, some flavored brews, and generally anything that has a rich, hoppy aroma.
    Some brews I enjoy are;
    Magic Hat #9
    Magic Hat Circus Boy Hefeweizen
    Magic Hat Blind Faith IPA
    Magic Hat Vinyl IPA
    Magic Hat Demo IPA
    Magic Hat Spring Mix
    Guinness
    Harp Lager
    Sam Adams Scotch Whiskey
    Sam Adams Boston Lager
    Sam Adams Cherry Wheat Ale
Eerie Brewing Company's Derailed Wild Cherry
    Lancaster Brewing Company's Milk Stout
    Bohemias
    Arrogant Bastard Ale
    Victory Hops Devil
    Victory Double Bocker

There are more, but they escape me for the moment. Those I've listed are some of my favorites. I encourage you all to list your favorite brews, should you have any. I'm certain our lists may differ, if only for the differences in available brews in different countries, as well as different palates. I hope this thread will encourage beer enthusiasts of the forum to try more exciting brews from around the world. I take every opportunity presented to me to try new beers I haven't tasted before, and so far I have not been disappointed, except for that one Sam Adams brew that just didn't taste like it possessed the same care in its creation that other beers by the same company do.

I haven't been drinking bear for that long, but two personal favorites are:

Leffe Blonde, for it's unique taste

    and

Kilkenny Draught*, because it's so smooth.

Carlsberg - Probably the best beer in the world.

Hoegaarden - most white beers are nice to be honest.

I like beer as long as is doesn't taste like beer too ostentatiously (=isn't bitter as hell).

Considering that fact, my favourite beers so far are Redd's Apple, Redd's Sun (lemon-flavoured), Gingers and Desperados (tequila-flavored). All but the last, despite their names, turn out to be Polish beers (a fact I learned a whooping minute ago), so I'm guessing they aren't popular enough for me to expect too many fellow enthusiasts of 'em around here.

Haven't heard of chocolate beer before. I'm going to have to check out that one.

I drink most everything beer, except ale or whatever it is that's flat, as long as it's cold. However, it's mostly Tuborg og Carlsberg as that's what's most widespread here.
