So, an expert gambler can put a wager on an npc's equipped items. This has probably already been referenced, but it doesn't work so well. The npcs in Arcanum are a bit masochistic, it seems, and feel comfortable gambling away their posessions for free. The same occurs with the "gold in shop inventory" glitch, but that only happens when gold actually gets in the shop inventory, as often occurs when smashing a shopkeeper's chest and looting it afterward. As for the former, I'm assuming it is an original code glitch, based on its nature, and can't be fixed by any measure of modding. If anyone knows different, I'd love to hear it. I'm using the 1.7.0.4 official patch, and Drog's latest UAP; 81229. That's not to say that either of these are relevant, especially since I seem to remember the same glitch in vanilla. Not optimistic about a response, just wondering. The way I usually work around the glitch is tiresome and unnecessary; I shouldn't have to drop gold based on the number of failed attempts and then run away before my followers pick it up.
I didn't think people here of all places would find it that strange, but it's because I fanatically value the roleplaying experience. MOVING RIGHT ALONG>>
