Wrong Disc Inserted?

    I have the arcanum GOTY edition, but inserting the "Play DISC" and trying to play results in a "Wrong Disc Inserted" message. I have to use the install disc, which is a pain, as the installer pops up whenever it is inserted. Is this a recurring problem?

    Hrm... Can't say I've heard of this but it could well be a problem with the GOTY edition (I've got original Arcanum so I wouldn't really know).

    Only suggestion I can make would be to disable autoplay but that would just be annoying as it's only for that game.

    I have the same problem. I just cancel the repair/uninstall panel and start Arcanum from the short list. It's small trouble and it takes only 2 mouse clicks.

    easiest thing.

    after the install close out of arcanum all together. put a shortcut on the desktop, make sure the play disk is in and if it still doesnt work, try playing in safe mode
