withered grove, theives camp

I'm trying to find the thieves that stole Blackroot's mayor's dagger. They say to go west, and I have but I haven't found any sign of the thieves camp or the withered grove which is supposed to be next to it. Where are these places?

 

Go over the railroad and then over the river and you will find them nearby.

 

Is it really hard to find these thieves? I've encounter several posts about this one. I didn't have to find the thieves 'cause I didn't got the side quest.

yes there has been alot of post about this one, quite suprised really, just go along the coast to the north obove the rail road.
If people are having problems with this one. But aren't there people having problems with the sorcerous beast quest? It's almost the same, the direction is almost identical at first.

 

You mean the one along the train station?

Hard to find places?

I'm thinking that people must be looking for a dot on their maps and not realizing that these places aren't marked on the maps. These places were not hard to find if you just walk around the town a little. Are people reluctant to explore the game world or something?
