For perhaps the first time playing I couldn't take Magnus as a follower and was upset.

Oops... I thought it would allow multiple options. Oh well.

I also forgot to enter Sodd/Chukka

What would you want to delete, specifically?

I always take Virgil with me. I don't know why, guess I can't just get into the right Arcanum groove unless I get to hear his whinging every now and then.

Virgil, Geoffrey, Dog, Smythe (if Geoffrey's managed to get killed, can you have both?), Raven and Z'an Al'urin,

What do you mean if he's managed to get killed ?

You can have them both if you meet the requirements; the game is still a little buggy in that dialog though.

Hmm... (I tend to take members that are interesting for me storywise, regardless of their usefulness)

Favourite good aligned party: Zen-Virgil, Dog, Magnus, Sogg, Perriman Smythe, Raven, and Franklin Payne.

Favourite evil aligned party: Surly Virgil, Dog, Vollinger, Z'an A'lurin (sp?), Torian Kel, Gar (As a slave), and Sebastian.

I usually don't have enough charisma at that point to have more than two followers.

I almost always take Virgil. He's a crappy fighter and a terrible healer if you're a techie, but he still makes for a great traveling companion and without him the story doesn't feel as dramatic. I can scarcely imagine traversing the land of Arcanum without having Virgil babbling at my side.

Personally, when I'm doing a good party for RP purposes, I get Vollinger for the betrayal bit.

You know, you can convince him to not betray you.

The fun lies in thwarting the betrayal only to shoot the fucking turncoat in the back of the head later for trying to cross you.

That you become a friend of the Molochean Hand, of course.

It'd be more fun if backstab bonuses applied to ranged weapons...

Actually, a Fallout mod featuring plasma weapons and melting corpses would be even funnier.

Well, it's that or a reverse pickpocketed dynamite.

I never quite got the hang of planting dynamite on random NPC's. Since I play a tech character, I can't help but be seen after I do it. This makes the new suicide bomber instantly rush over to my location and start to attack, as well as any guards nearby. My party tends to see this and rushes to my aid, and a few seconds later everyone dies...

I usually don't like to take the dog, because he ends up clobbering too many enemies and therefore denying me the much-needed experience points.

After Virgil I get Magnus. After Magnus I like an ogre (Sogg/Chukka) so as to outfit him and carry my junk. It's nice having a party with one small, one medium, and one large character.

The problem I'd face if I decided to take Sogg after I took Magnus is that Sogg would then be at a lower level than the rest of the party. Guess I'm just violently compulsive about having the entire party synchronized level-wise.

One of the things I'm doing besides getting every ending slide is to bring every follower to meet You-Know-Who in the Void. So far I'm missing Chukka and Vollinger, not counting the temps or those in the Void. It's interesting to note who is or is not upset if you join Him and who likes Him!

I was tempted to be flip with the person who said they couldn't find any followers: "Don't worry, there's plenty in the Void!"

Gorgoth: "Me so hon-gry.... Little man look good!"

I wonder if you could win the game without ANY followers. I think I'd be killed after being stunned or that magic bear-trap thing.

I'm almost certain I've managed to beat the game without any followers. Quite sure it was a half-ogre warrior.
