    first time you 'see' him, he's tagged a 'grizzled war veteran'- hes near the mayor's house, in between the bridges that go to other shops.

    to get trainig, you have to ask about war, listen,etc, then he should offer you training

    He is near the far end of town near the Mayor's gaff. He's over a wooden bridge, dressed in brown leathers, wandering about on a patch of grass next to a small hut with a couple of guards. You need to sit through his yawn-worthy war stories before he'll train you though. :smile:
