    Hire a writer?
At least you can draw right?

Also this is an Arcanum fan site, not a general help forum.

Well this is the bit of it to ask for general help.

However, if you do want any help you're going to have to be more specific than that? What kind of story? Is it Arcanum-based? etc

one of the reasons why i post this thread here at terra-arcanum is because i was influenced by arcanum's execution of their conspiracy stories... hence the ren'ar siamese twins skulls quest..

    Quick answer:

    Read widely in your genre.

    Write, re-write and re-write again.

Seek critique from anyone, everyone and publishers.

Everyone happy with it? Then write another one, otherwise return to step two again and again and again.

Is Arcanum freeware yet or does Sierra still own the rights? Because if it's free, you could always begin with doing the Half-Ogre Island conspiracy as a comic and then move on to bigger projects. Some parts you will have to write on your own, but you will have the main plot laid out nice and easy.

You should know this about great artists: They don't hesitate or borrow; they steal.

I just read this part as 'Hire a witcher'. I shall seek for help.

Nobody except you and 2 of your friends will read your first comic anyway.
Just toss in a good punchline and the rest will be unimportant.

Find someone who writes stories, and get them to develop a plot for you. I'm sure there's good writers somewhere in Canada.

I wrote a play once, and once I wrote a short story so good somebody bought me a beer. Are you hot? If so, I will write you a plot.

So you want to tell a good story but suck at telling good stories?

Maybe you should take up fishing?

At any rate, I believe what ytzk said is mostly correct: Become astute in your genre/style and write/rewrite. When it comes to being creative, being well-read (hell, being a well-rounded person in general) leads to creating interesting stories. Make sure those you are seeking for critique aren't also failures or you'll have wasted your time.

I don't think DarkFool is playing a character. I think he's actually like that.

I, too, think DarkFool is a pair of Siamese jester skeleton twins.
