As the self-appointed welcomer I would like to say, "Welcome to the Forum, gunsmoke!" :wavey:

You should find some in the Wheel Clan Dredge somewhere. I know that the smith there has some. You could always steal it. Or you could kill him. Either way works. I know, I know. Your good. It doesn't hurt your alignment that much. To quote Nike, "Just do it."

Look in the dredge, or another mine for it.

The elven mage in Ashbury near the docks sometimes have them.
There is one in a crate near one of the docks, not sure which one
One of the dwarven smiths have them
and finally the general store in Blackroot has one in the front area of the store in alcked barrel so you can actually use the unlock spel on it when the owners are asleep
BTW I think it's called the captains something, it's near the seaside junk store

Dwarven Smith in the Wheel clan doesn't take that much time and you should have enough money to buy some by now.

I wouldn't worry about time.... I slept in the Wheel Clan? for ages..... Building up my army of Automatons, buying Steam Engines, making the armour, assembling my precious machines..... In no way does it affect the game time/story line. "Evil Bad Guy TM" is still at the end, trapped until you get there. Bad Guys are nice, they always wait for the hero.....
