If you smash the boxes near the dragon you can go downstairs and access a new dungeon

 

That's funny. It never occured to me to smash them. I always just maneuverd around them.

IIRC the passage is blocked and you must smach some barrels/boxes?

 

well, the only thing I can remember of, is that the place is where the diary needed to recruit Krakatur(dragon NPC) is located.

 

Wow! I didn't know there was a dragon NPC! Where do I go to pick it up?

 

Just smash the crates in the Lair and clear out the dungeon. The crates are all the way to the left after you get into the place.
No NPCs here.
