Not knowing that it's best to make offerings to the pagan gods of Arcanum in a certain order, I put a ruby in Torg's altar the very first time I came across it. Would it be possible to make an offering to Makaal (who I understand is Torg's opposing god) to cancel out Torg's blessing, and then start over in the proper order? I'd appreciate any help. Thanks.
As far as I remember, all you have to do is restart the gods sequence in the correct order and it will cancel your existing blessings and curses. I'm not sure though since it was years ago that I did the gods part.
I did that once, but the first one (I think it was the one in Falcon's Ache) wouldn't take my offering.
If you make an offering to the opposing god, you will earn yourself a curse, I believe. Try simply doing the quest in the correct order. If you complete the first circle you will know you are on the right way.
According to the Prima guide, if you get cursed by an opposing god... "If you make an offering to a lesser god while you are not on the correct path to receive the Ultimate Blessing from Velorien (see below), you'll receive the curse of the opposing god. If you're cursed by a god, then you must bring another offering to the god who cursed you. This only removes the curse...if you want the blessing again, you'll have to make an additional offering. Geshtianna/Kerlin Ter'el/Bolo Alberich/Shakar Makaal/Torg" So if this holds true, just carry two bone-handled weapons (either bone dagger or the reaper axe, which you can buy in magic shops). That reminds me of a question I had, has anyone tried to get a blessing from a god after you receive Velorien's Ultimate Blessing? I know ultimate means final but since this game is a "bit" buggy, I was wondering if anything happened if you made another offering.
It says something like "You don't need to make an offering, you already have Velorien's blessing" and the offering stays in your inventory.
