Too many NCPs....

not that I'm complaining but I'm only supposed to be able to have 4 and I have 5, Sogg, Virgil, Raven, what's his name (the mage that was visiting from Tulla) and the little mage that I saved from the murder charge in Quintanna. He seems to be the extra because when I tried to drop him and pick up Loghaire Loghaire said I had too many people (which is when I realized it too) - Edythe

 

Their names are Perriman Smythe and Jormund :smile:.

I noticed that happened once, when I had Virgil, Raven and Sebastian with only 9 charisma and no persuasion :smile:. It happens occasionally. Enjoy the ride.

 

No actually I think Virgil is your extra, I don't think the game ever counts him against you if you decide to keep him. This is only a guess but that because i have also excided my limit of followers by one but only when Vigil was the one. I have to experiment with this to see for sure...

 

I'm pretty sure Virgil counts. Maybe Virgil post-Dark Elves doesn't count, but he most definitely does count to your follower limit up until that point.

 

Actually, I think it is Raven who is the one who doesn't count in your party total. I think Dog and any robots are also like this.

You are right, the dog and robots do not count. I'm not so sure about Raven not counting, I'll have to check that out at some point...this is a true mystery :smile:.

 

I've had Raven join me even when I was over my limit. But not Loghaire.

 

I think I've said this before, but Loghaire is my favourite follower. He has a really cool voice :smile:.

 

I don't know who it is but it is apparently a problem. Virgil i thought never counted (and I mean pre-dark elves virgil), but if it's not him I don't know who cause I never had Raven or dog in my group.

He can't actually. When creating a follower in the game, the follower is set to check the follower limit and whether or not to add to it. The dog doesn't check and he doesn't add to it.

 

I'm telling you he did. Loghaire wouldn't join me until I got rid of someone. When I got rid of Dog, Loghaire joined. To Loghaire, anyway, Dog counted as a follower. This only happened in one game.

 

Well Perriman didn't count to me.

 

erm... If Dog + Raven + Virgil + Perriman didn't count... *checks his lvl-20-charisma character* ... I could have had... 6 + 4 = 10 followers ?¿?¿ Sounds a bit high to me, especially balance-wise (and framerate-wise, for my ol'P350).

 

Dog does not count. That is a definite answer.

Perriman counts, so does Virgil, at least he does up until the Dark Elves. After that, I'm not so sure. As far as I know, Raven counts as well.

 

Tell it to Loghaire.

 

The only reason Loghaire never joins me is because I'm too low a level :smile:.

 

i don't think level affects it i was atleast lvl40 when i talked to him and he still didn't join me
