There was this thread about giving away custom avies something less than a year ago. We were rather indecisive when it came to Grakelin, but in Zanza's case, we generally agreed from the start on a fitting avatar and title.

Then we started talking about unrelated stuff, then Hеllbokos showed up, then we lost interest, typical Terra Arcanum thread really.

I say, let's make this happen.

    No Hole is Sacred

I rather like this for Zanza

Just the right mix of smarmy moustache, come hither eyes and fabulous hat.

EDIT: And he certainly doesn't consider any of your holes sacred.

Unless my eyes deceive me, that is a jaunty hat!

I vote for the man in the jaunty hat and the "No Hole is Sacred" title, I came up with it (the title) anyway.

What about the jaunty hat with the 'Slayer of Xaio_Caity' caption?

According to Wikipedia, the man in the jaunty has is "The Laughing Cavalier (1624) is a famous painting by the Dutch Baroque artist Frans Hals."

It goes on to point out that "The current title is a Victorian era invention; the subject does, in fact, sport an enigmatic smile."

    I like the laughing cavalier.

    Perhaps "No holes barred!"

I recently read the epic final battle with Princess Sparkle. Deary, deary me.

Really, the No Hole is Sacred title goes perfectly with the Sparkle Lord pic I used to suggest Zanza's avatar.

Actually, I don't think the picture of the jaunty hatted man has a proper place for a caption, as it stands.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, I never agreed to anything regarding Zanza's avatar. Also, what was the qualifying criteria for a custom avatar; 2k posts or 1k posts?

In the case that this discussion is 300 posts premature, I think the smarmy cavalier picture represents Zanza the best of anything that has been suggested. Unfortunately, I don't think the style of the portrait lends itself well to being used as an avatar; it's too muddy. The laughing skull has more definition, but how does this reflect Zanza's character?

I think the rainbow unicorn accurately suggests how Zanza dispatch Xiao_Caity, but I don't know if that captures the total picture of what Zanza provides.

In either case, I approve of the "No Holes Barred" tagline.

I know that double posting isn't allowed, but isn't that just as bad?

To get an alt avatar according to fact you need 1k post. Also according to the FAQ/rules only people that have already received an alt avatar are allowed to express themselves on the subject of other receiving and alt avatar. You also need the admins to care enough to change it.

    Mostly the admin thing though.

I preferred "The Bane of Caity" suggested by TDC, considering how Arcanumish it was and all.

I liked that suggestion around the time of the previous thread. Nowadays, though, it seems to be old news. Xiao left a year ago while Zanza remained as active as always, without his forum personality changing, so I'd say he has proven to have more of a personality than just being Xiao's nemesis.

"No Hole is Sacred" seems to have a stronger, more uncompromising tone to me.

Never said that you did, hence "generally" rather than "unanimously".

    Nope:

Not only people with custom avatars are regulars.

In the way that it is more than a mere generic laughing skull. It's Morte, a perverted jokester from Planescape: Torment. I'd say he matches Zanza's character more than anything else.

If not him, you know what else would be fitting? The lecherously-looking gentleman that pooped a little.

    He did.

According to the standing rules of the House, I leave the chamber to the senior lords with their fancy avatars. Hrmph.

    Good day, sirs!

Ps - Muro, that is possibly the funniest thing I've seen ever. hehe, pooped.

I vote for 'No Hole Is Sacred'. Or perhaps 'Beware, No Hole Is Sacred!'

PS: What about 'Bane of every holes'?

Would be "Bane of every hole", in that case.

Still not as good as "No Hole is Sacred".

    In which favour, though?

    @DE's suggestion
What if we mix Ducreux with a bit of Nicholson?
