The what's your drink thread.

Well, I'm drunk, and I always seem to start topic when I am. Anyway, what do y'all like to drink and how do you like it mixed, if you do? Also, how much you drink, perhaps. I'm curious.

I usually get a bottle of vodka, but whiskey and rum is also good.

 

Beer, Beer is the answer. I could give a more detailed listing by country and what-not... but, I really couldn't be arsed.

 

Thanks to medication and insanely strick drink-driving laws, Lemon Lime and Bitters is about all I can drink without getting either arrested or very very sick. Luckily for me I happen to quite like LLB, it's refreshing after a shitty day.

 

What medication does this, if you don't mind me asking? And what're these strict laws? Damn, I'm curious today.

And beer is great, too. The thing with beer is the last couple of sips is always without bubbles and always warm and boring. I also have to piss all the time, and it's the only thing that gives me a hangover.

 

Just take it as read that strong asthma medication and alcohol do NOT mix.

Also, because I'm still on my goddamn P-plates (and I've still got ANOTHER full year to go, sheez), I'm not allowed to have any registerable booze in my system if I wanna ride, and my little scooter is my primary (read: only viable) form of transport. Never mind that I've been riding for five years already... Stupid fucking government, changing the rules on me at the last fucking minute...

 

Guessing here, but are P-Plates some try-out plates you have for a few years before getting the real ones? Sounds complicated.

A guy from my class has astma and drinks a lot, so maybe it depends on the medicine?

 

The doc's got me on a couple pills that don't mix well with alcohol so it's been chocolate milk, strong coffee, and lemon-lime soda for the past year.

Before that: Give me scotch! Single malt - the older, the better.

 

Living up to my name, I to am shitfaced at the moment. I propose "Shittered" to be the term for being shitfaced. I like beer of all kind for my standard drink. If I want to get stupid I'll drink anything above 12%. I have medical reasons to be drunk tho', like Xiao, or unlike her, I cant remember.

Beer is the option, unless I get pressured into spirits one night in which case it becomes Vodka lime and soda. whenever I feel a tingling in the old throat coming along, or perhaps the sniffles I will usually have a couple of Virgin Marys, would not believe how many colds I have averted.

 

Whiskey or wine. Only two things I'll drink.

 

Milk.

 

Root beer. A&W from the tap is the best, bottled IBC comes in second, canned Mug third.

 

For casual drinking with friends, it’s beer.
A nice blonde, if I can get it, otherwise a pale or pilsner will do. Every other month or so we get together and have a few.

Outside of that, I’m a Vodka dog.
Once a year I usually get faced on Bloody Mary’s (spicy) and Screwdrivers.
As a matter of fact, that time is fast approaching.
June 19/20 is almost here.

 

At least noone's went and gotten philosophical or started listing pub song lyrics in a drunken typing stupor. It's an improvement over some of the shittered threads around.

 

Nothing. I don't drink. And I've honestly never done so. Ever.

Mostly I stick to water or milk. When that doesn't do, I keep to 2.25% cider.

Basically nothing else.
