So what's the deal with getting the pigs out of Farmer Whozit's field in Ashbury? Is there any way to do it without killing the porkers, or is Farmer Whozit destined to be eating bacon for months? For some reason attacking the pigs absolutely annihilates my followers' morale, but I can't seem to move them any other way. BTW, I'm playing a diplomat who has no magic and no tech except explosives.
Then you shouldn't have got this quest in the first place. You can't get all the quests you know. I'm also trying to find out a substitute for not killing the pigs. How about killing the guy who have the quest instead. I think he's evil.
I really shouldn't have gotten the quest, eh? Interesting. What's so evil about not wanting pigs to eat your crops, though? And as I understand it, the guy later wants rocks moved from his field, which doesn't sound evil either.
I think the resolution is quite simple really just tell your followers to wait if you raelly want to do this quest
I just couldn't believe it when Magnus started bitching..."I can't understand why we're attacking such good souls!" Dude, they're PIGS, and they're eating this guy's livelihood! Get some perspective, you useless dwarf!!! Sorry, rant over.
I know I pisses off right? I almost got my gun and shot his useless brain all over the place Or check this out I recently noticed Virgil healing wolves and other creatures at random encounters while fighting them!? What's his problem?? What is he, retarded?
or when you have have to kill a demon in the caladon quest he says, Hey don't I don't know why we're attcking such a decenet folk, I won't do this for much longer. Get a life you dwarven numbskull!!
Dog loves pork Well I I had the same problem so I told Dog to attack! No one complaind about that......
I'll have to try that with Dogmeat..er, Worthless Mutt. I just don't get why my Goodness meter takes a hit when I kill pigs that are devouring a crop. There MUST be a nonviolent solution to this, but I'm blessed if I can see it.
Had to reply, this thread is too funny. I haven't got as far as you all yet, but there is a nature spell that allows you to control animals. This pig gig was probably meant for this spell. It's a shame your followers suddenly become animal rights activists later in the game, them wolves are nasty and keep getting bigger and badder.
Oh yeah, the control animals spells. I only experimented briefly with a wizard (the game is just WAY too easy when you can summon ogres) so I didn't even think about that. Maybe that's it, though...I'll have to remember that for future reference.
That's good about the ogres -- you know those three Black Fangs or whatever in the Black Mountain Mines, the three really powerful wolves? I summoned an ogre into their midst and he killed them in one turn, one blow each. That was when I realized the spell might be a teensy bit unbalanced, because my whole party couldn't defeat one of them otherwise.
If you cast Charm Creature on the Black Fangs they stay charmed even if you leave Black Mountain and return later. I can now run my characters all around them and they don't even seem to notice me. Charming doesn't last on other animals however, I think it just worked on the Fangs as getting around them was probably meant as a key puzzle of sorts.
