The light in the dryer?

My girlfriend keeps trying to tell me that most people have a light inside their laundry dryer. I personally have never heard of such a thing, so I thought I'd ask the House of Lords.

So. Does your dryer have a light in it?

 

We used to have one, but then it broke and I found glass in my shirts. Now we have no light. Most of the other people I know have no light in their dryer, however.

 

Never heard of such a thing. Why would you want one anyways?

 

I don't see a use for it. I never found myself in a situation in which I needed the light in the dryer. The room has plenty of light, and I never do laundry at night.

 

Wow....I really never thought of it that way. In that case...no, my light has no dryer around it.

I'd never heard of a dryer with a light inside, or a light with a dryer outside, for that matter.

It's supposed to have a purpose, though. A stupid one, but meh.

 

It needs a big window in it so you can watch your socks spinning around.

Anyway, if you can't tell how much of your clothes are still in a dryer, maybe you should just start hanging all your clothes out to dry. Either that, or drape them on a radiator (cause that's in NO WAY a dangerous fire hazard).

If laundry was entertaining, I'm sure there would be fewer people not wearing clothes. Here's to windows on the dryer!

 

mine dryer is light free. I shine a flashlight in it anytime I'm doing the laundry, just to make sure there'ren't any spiders in it. ^_^

 

LAUNDRY SPIDERS! Yeah, my sister was nearly bitten by a brown recluse spider the last time she did her laundery.

 

Why would a spider get in a washing machine? Is it like a free roller-coaster ride or something?

 

Well...she didn't find the spider in the dryer, she found it in the laundry room.
Most of the time if I found bugs in my clothes they were dead (that's what happens when you mix four ounces of soap and twenty gallons of water). I'm an amateur entomologist, so...yup.

 

I have a washer around my light, but I don't have any laundry spiders... I somewhat wish that I had, though...

 

You're not missing much. Well, that is unless you're able to train spiders to make you silk shirts and underwear.
