what the hell does call fog do? its just a waste of fatigue please reply if you know what it does. is it something that only works in real time? i only play in turn based.
I'm pretty sure It makes a wall no-one can shoot through accurately or not at all. Either that or slow their movement through it.
The Elemental Water school suffers from a medium degree of "uselessness" compared to the other elemental schools. - Purity of Water isn't really all that useful...especially when compared to Strength of Earth or Agility of Fire. - Call Fog is gonna ge handy enough against archers and gunmen....UNTIL THEY MOVE OUT OF THE WAY.....but I guess than in a tight corridor or something like that it could be handy if placed well.. - Squall of Ice is only gonna do anything if you can get the enemy stuck to the ground with something like magelock, entangle or maybe a bear trap. - Body of water doesn't have the advantages that Body of Fire, Body of Earth (with weapon and armor damage). Overall its a pretty useless school on its won...but I suppose that ina multiplayer setting, partenerd up with somebody who has Nature or Temporal magic, there might be some use to it...
I find Purity of Water quite useful- for shopping. Prices go way down when you have BE 20. The rest of the Water spells are utterly useless. Squall of Ice, when cast by Raven, is even dangerous, as all your party runs to finish off the enemy and enters the spell's damage zone. And its not like the enemy is going to stand and suffer while the spell does its miserable damage.
Truth be told.....Arcanum has a good few spells that are pretty much USELESS altogether..even if the most meticulous calculating player is involved. I wonder if you can use the Reflection Shield Trick on an area spell like Wall of Fire..... Must try it...
