Okay we've had the best sword, but which is the best firearm for damage? The best all round firearm? The best gun for a mage?
Personally I think the best firearm that I've come across has to be the silenced revolver found in the Assasin's Village. Fantastic damage and is not affected by your Magic level. The perfect ranged weapon for a mage.

Shouldn't mages use fireballs instead of flame throwers ? Also, there's been a thread not that long ago on what gun gives best damage to speed ratio.

As for the new weapons in car-arcanum, I've found some holy-demonic-whatever looking glass rifle with comparable characteristics, but it suited me better since I've been playing a half-ogre at that time. If only i could remember where I found it.

However, I think that Car-arcanum is far too unbalanced to be making such comparisons... It's pretty close to just hacking your save game and giving yourself a uber-multibarelled pistol with hacked damage, and no ammo usage.

As for the original game, the fine revolver is the all-time winner in the all-around gun competition. Easy to get and make, with good damage/speed/ammo usage ratios, pretty mutch beats everything else for killing rats and zombies. Then there's the sharpshooter pistol...

The sharpshooter pistol is a great gun for the early to mid stages of the game, I didn't think anyone else used it.

Droch's Warbringer, any day of the week. We've had this discussion before, and've come to the conclusion that the Warbringer is indeed the best.

Before the patch, it was definitely the looking glass rifle. 40 unwavering points of damage, one bullet. After the patch, definitely Droch's Warbringer, with 20-40 damage per bullet. Well, the Warbringer is a bit faster than the LGR anyway...but you get it so late in the game.

Droch :) Warb. (Droch is "masturbation" in russian language) and Big-distance pistol or how he's called: with about 15-18 speed and 10-35 damage.

Hahaha!! Is that true? The Russian language sure is a good one.
Haha, that would make the gun a warbringing... ?

And that, Tony, is where modding comes in. Keep your eyes peeled. One or two new modifications should be popping up before too long.

(Don't look for mine just yet)

Didn't Van Stran post the exact same thing in a whole new thread?

Did you implement those improvements to the BoH that you were thinking about?

Oh, you mean by electrifying it so that the hands would twitch? Yes. I've also got the BoH on a telescoping eight foot pole, which I have aptly named the "tele-groper."

Maybe you like climbing up trees and rockfaces, or down drains to get people, but most of us don't.
